  1. Agree. They need to clean up the house from top to the button and that is going to take time, unfortunately.
  2. Molina has a cannon in that arm. Way to get out Buxton.
  3. Wonder if a guy like Juan Uribe could have been a better idea.
  4. Pal was making a point, which is oks.
  5. Sign in bet365.com and the broadcasting for every game is free and no blackouts as I recall.
  6. Well since there is no a game thread, there we go. WIN.
  7. It doesn't matter whether you like him or not. He is a stud at closing, and it is not even debatable. This season, he is posting his best numbers thus far. A ridiculous 1 ERA. and 100 SV%. Let me put this in context. Mo has a 21.9 WAR from 1997 to 2006 (10 Y) when he began to SV a lot of games (43). Pap? 19.1 WAR in the last 10 and still a half of a season remaining. As I said, He is in Mariano's highway and earning every penny.
  8. Just check Papelbon's numbers, and he seems like an old wine to me. He has earned his paycheck thus far as I predicted . Phillies' problems are far beyond Papelbon. It's a shame that he played for that team; in a contender one, he would have shinned much more.
  9. Wonder if some team is willing to eat Pandas', Miley's and Porcello's contracts...
  10. No. Too many flaws. IMO they have to forget about 2015. John Henry's top priority must be to find a new FO/advisors. Then in petit committee select the new coaching staff in order to prepare the plan and the strategy moving forward.
  11. All those extensions look pretty bad these days including Farrell's. Hopefully somehow they get rid of them when we become sellers; it doesn't matter whatever it takes in order to clean the house for once and for all.
  12. Porcello is having a bad day, again.
  13. I think that you have to read what Spud just have wrote, specially the last paragraph. This is how managers are evaluated regardless the industry.
  14. Braves' offense doesn't scare anybody, they are 20th in wRC+. This should be a calm day for Porcello. Win!
  15. Here are some numbers. Sox are this season thus far: 29th in the last 30 days in W% 26th in SRS 20th UZR/150 22th wRC+ 29th ERA (starters) 24th ERA (@ BP) 21th SV% and on and on and on..... This season is over, it is plain and simple actually. As I said, this team has so many flaws. The ship is sinking in every department. This nightmare has happened in 3 of the last 4 years, and this year is even worse. The diagnostic and first move that has to be made is pretty simple actually, Ben and Farrell have to go, they are killing this team, not now...they have been for several years. Thanks for 2013, but they have to go. It is great to be optimistic and all, but sometimes you have to aware and realize that you have a problem first before to address it, otherwise you will live in fantasy land forever.
  16. This would be the 3/4 year of bad seasons with a lot of money behind. A lot of mistakes in all those years. The strategy haven't worked out. The traded players haven't worked out, in fact other teams have eaten our lunch in that regard. The FAs haven't worked out either, so Ben has to go. Farrell has to go as well, horrible fundamentals and calls executed on the field. The new FO has to change the strategy, mentality and culture of this team. They also have to get rid somehow of the busts signed like Panda, Miley, Porcello and put Kelly where he belongs, at BP. They also have to build for once and for all a solid rotation mixed with true/proved/solid arms and rounded with young top talent from the farm/trades.
  17. Tigers, NYY and Boston following very close Cueto: ESPNdeportes. While I love the idea of landinding Cueto, I think it's already too late.
  18. Couldn't catch the game but seems like ERod had his first tough day this season. This season is over, time to rebuild.
  19. Wonder which contracts worked well throughout all their time contracted?
  20. Yup. The more I see the people that have played in our 3B, the more I wonder, why in the hell did we let walk Beltre?
  21. I would share the load at DH and 1B (Ortiz, Hanley, Nap.). I would go with Castillo, Betts and Bradley in the OF and see what happens.
  22. At least they should give him a couple of months, and see what happens. This season is likely over anyways.
  23. I'm not sure if I trade Hanley but I would trade the other busts that Ben signed/traded, in order to clean the house; Panda, Miley, Porcello, Kelly, Castillo... Problem is that they have zero value these days.
  24. Wonder if this is the worst loss of the season.
  25. If they become the Cubs, wait and see.
