    While you can't win every year, at least you have to be competitive or in the race as most of the high payroll teams are every year. Thing is that this team is far to be competitive in 3 of the last 4 years.

    I think it is fair to think that a lot of professional players regardless the sport are not happy in their current teams. But once again, they are professionals.

    Isn't he a professional baseball player? He is paid to do the job, and very well btw, no more, no less.

    The only reliable pitchers are Buch and E Rod. That's it. IMO There are so many flaws in this team that can not be solved before the trade deadline. They need to clean up the house in every department. A couple of moves won't fix this.

    I think that you said that Ben should have waited a dozen of games. Not sure what are the explanations that Ben is giving to John Henry if so. I do not think that he is saying that the whole thing is an enigma LOL!

    haha.. I tried to do it in english, seems like it doesn't make sense. El es harina de otro costal in spanish. What I mean is that he has been very good this season, and not like the majority of this team.

    Well, in the offseason I said that this was the worst rotation in the last 10 years. Probably it is. Then you have this anemic line up which play horrible fundamentals at defense. I haven't seen as many Red Sox versions as you have spud, but probably it is.

    At the time I was all in regarding this. Instead they brought Porcello, and just like that they gave him an extension while overpaying. Brilliant.

    ...and Panda? Should we call it season and start searching and rebuilding the FO and coaching staff?

    The pitching is not the problem these days but back in April and in some passages in May, it was. They bet in poor pitching while trying to fix it if it sucks. Some of us said that it could be late by the time. Thing is that you had other variables: the offense and fielding. They put all their bucks on them and it didn't work out either. They have had serious problems at assembling teams in recent years. The problem is pretty evident. This FO and coaching staff are killing this franchise. I still have little hopes, hopefully this turns around somehow.

    Every year some always disparage April and May while making jokes about the W-L record. While those months won't tell you the outcome of a season, the Ws and Ls are as important as any month. This is why we do not have to take those months lightly.
