    It’s a bargain for the Sox IF Crochet stays relatively healthy. Guy is not elite but a very solid number one in any rotation.

    Giving Raffy one or two days off wouldn’t help either IMHO. However, sending him to AAA in order to do a mini ST would help him a lot for both his timing and mind. He’s clearly lost at the plate and is not even close. The latter is an unpopular decision to make though.

    If that were the offer, I would do it before the season start and probably he would even take something around 150/6 (starting in 27), but again it has to be before the season starts.

    Bingo! it’s called common sense. They didn’t give up 1 but 3 top ten prospects from the farm. It has to say something, at least in my book. If this guy pitch like he is supposed to pitch, meaning like a legit No. 1 AND stays healthy, his value will go way north. He’s in his mid 20s and entering into his prime. I want to believe that they did their due diligence and scouting to make this trade. They can’t be that stupid. Extend him already!

    Wonder why Valdez is still making the team. He’s literally useless in every aspect of the game.

    Well, just figured out that the board has changed. Seems more complicated but I guess I will get used to it. Regarding the game, the season is over. This pen is has been overused and now it is taxing us.

    I agree with most of the latter, but we were talking about Bello exclusively. Said that, the major issue with Bello is in his mind and is not a minor thing by any means. He was ahead in the count 0-2 a couple of times in the 1st inning but ended up hitting and walking 2 batters. The rest is history. It is the story that has been repeating over and over again throughout his short career.

    Bello is going to be around 4.2 ERA at the end of his career. i.e. No 4. kind of pitcher in my book.
