  1. To me is quite easy. Call him up already and put pressure and competitiveness to Abreu, Rafaela and even Duran. Give him ABs in a regular basis and see what happens. There’s nothing better than internal competition. The same goes for Mayers.
  2. Starter goes 85 pitches? Bullpen crumbles? Yep, Cora’s back…
  3. While we took the series, this offense is plain dead. We only scored 6 runs in this series. Story has to go down already.
  4. 15-20 pitches might have meant 2 more innings. Cora is a f***ing stupid.
  5. The Mets are in a kind of a slump right now but Twins and Blue Jays were as well when we played them and we know what happened. Yeah, hopefully we sweep them tomo and keep raking up Ws moving forward. I’m bit concerned about Campbell, hopefully he turns around again.
  6. Probably he and Narvaez are the greatest surprises this year.
  7. Seems like the BP is finally coming around but I still don’t see Whitlock as he was supposed to be.
  8. He just debuted last year, didn’t he? if he is not the center piece to rebuild the pirates I don't know who is. He should be locked in ala Crochet. He’s the real deal.
  9. Not sure how they let these umps call the game man. It’s simply atrocious. Calling a strike not even close the zone and earlier a ball in the zone. Simply annoying.
  10. The biggest surprise thus far has been Narvaez and is not even close.
  11. We miss one opportunity after another to score. That’s the movie of this team this season.
  12. On the bright side, Buehrle was pitching well, not extraordinary but well enough.
  13. Oh and BTW he called a couple of strikes earlier below the zone. So he saw the ball above the zone or what? Whata clown.
  14. We really need challenges at calling balls and strikes ASAP. This was a strike by a mile man, how can you miss that at this level? It’s beyond me.
  15. That Sale trade was beyond a steal. Before it happened I really believed Sale was going to come back because I though he was going to be finally healthy. The rest is history. Breslow f***ed that up badly. Regarding Devers he seems to be finally comfortable DHing. Keep him there. He could be a decent 1B though. I would convert Mayers or Campbell but I still believe Devers should have played there. Devers is an absolute Diva, but again, Breslow didn’t handle it correctly. And btw they have Grissom down there getting rusty. Yes, Breslow s*** the bed.
  16. Atlanta has done it and seems it is working out. The problem is not locking young players, problem is scouting. You have to make sure that the kid is really talented with a promising upside AND has an unquestionable work ethic and mentality. In Bello’s case they thought they could develop him but his stuff simply is not that good and his mentality and consistency are poor. Bello is what he is. A No. 4 pitcher who will pitch some good games but will blow some as well at the same rate.
