  1. ... But again, other than u, no one complains when the Cherington thing comes up.
  2. At this point, and the more I think about the subject, I don't care about Cherington since I think he was nothing but a puppet. On the other hand if the topic come up, I have no problem reading other people debating it as u do. The same goes for Papelbon, Porcello, Panda, Farrell, etc. - I have no problem reading people debating about those issues.
  3. how is that? What do U think regarding Porcello, Then?
  4. It isn't done, unfortunately for u, LOL! Time to time people will talk about him, just like other players who are not here anymore or some situations that happened in the past. Again, you are the only one here who always point out when the topic comes up... For so,e reason you don't want that the topic isn't touched anymore... And it won't happen... Time to time it will come up for different circumstances... Like the recent discussion begun by sk.

  6. What would be the over/under? Based on the projections you made a year ago regarding him? The other stat could be HR/FB%.
  7. No I'm not trying to start anything but the opposite... you are the only one here who is irritating about this. You seem like Cherington defender patrol. As I said, live with it or ignore it, no big deal.
  8. Yeah but the topic will come up time to time. Like panda. Like Porcello. Like Papelbon. Etc. those are baseball related topics, and the debate will come over and over agian. Let them debate, no big deal.
  9. LOL! I think I'm going to be in August in NY and Boston again. I tell what, I will buy a couple of bottles of great tequila and you put the beers --I like beer as chaser with tequila- and make a bbq or something while watching a Red Sox game. Porcello is 2.7 ERA right now. I think I offered a sign bet to U? But I'm not sure what he decided. I can open the Porcello bet again this year for those interested. It could be sign bet for a month or a case of beer or something just to make it interesting and fun. The rules would be the same but it would only apply for those who are regular posters and have at least 3000 posts --Hitchi already own me and I haven't seen him again LOL!
  10. LOL! I thought you were on my side MVP, what happened man? Hahaha Anyways, it still too early to know. Thus far his tenure in Boston is still lamentable -overall. On the other hand he has shown in recent games an improvement, but again vs the weakest team in baseball and vs NYY who are struggling. We need at least a season. IMO, He isn't an ace. He isn't even a a true NO. 2. His ceiling IMO is 4.0 ERA i.e. Decent No. 3. Reallistacally? No.4-5. We'll see though.
  11. Anyone can talk about whatever they pleased to, just like U? does with other topics over and over again. Not sure why it irritates him. Funny thing is that he doesn't point out other users that talk about Cherington, like sk in this case.
  12. Also, no one is whining. Take it easy.
  13. So no one can talk about Cherington anymore? Hahaha Why does it irritate you when someone talks about him? Time to time the topic will come up, live with it or simply ignore it.
  14. IMO a 330 OBP player is good enough to leadoff. Of course you also want good baserunning, and if he has decent power even better. Betts is oks leadingoff. JBJ could be a good option If he struggles at some point.
  15. Thank you my friend. Well, my model is working just fine. I think, I'm going to start to bet serious money, I think it is ready.
  16. ... also remember that you already have Castillo in the wings.
  17. A couple of things. Who/where/ how are you going to find that real starting left fielder right now? Furthermore how much is he going to cost you? At this point we don't have that kind of production in the OF. For us is not that easy to compensate that kind of production, RIGHT NOW - kind of the point. On the other hand I agree with you, Holt has not enough value to land a SP just by himself.... BUT if he posts this year what he posted last year, it is going to turn interesting.
  18. Miami almost lose the game in the ninth thanks to Mattingly. Conley was only 4 outs away to get the no-no. All the crowd in MIL booed him. The pitch count is overated. The bright side of this is that he made me win 900 bucks hahaha.
  19. Seems like MVP is the moderator hahaha The title is oks man, no big deal. As I said im the game thread, JH should convince Papi to stay another year, he is still very productive.

    The Cubs

The White Sox have surprised me thus far.

    The Cubs

I think that Sonny Gray would be more affordable, considering that they are not going anywhere soon.
  22. U?, Alfonso is broadcasting the LAD vs SD game. He is the best LOL!
  23. I like the SP idea. But, who is going to give us Holt's production. Castillo? Young?, Castillo/Young? IMO I wouldn't trade Holt. He's arguably the best utility player in baseball. I'd rather explore a trade just like U? suggested early to get that SP... But not a #2, a top tier controlled young pitcher, no matter what it takes.
  24. ... Btw, and for the record the Cherington thing was a joke.
