  1. Should have been only 2 but Tazawa didn't help for the cause.
  2. Wednesday? Alright, I'm taking note. It will be considered my friend, no doubt. LOL!
  3. Wow! A lot of great memories and expiriences here. Congrats to all. I haven't had the opportunity to meet someone yet. I would like the meet David Ortiz. He's my favorite baseball player ever. What it's funny is that my uncle has the same name --David Ortiz-- and he doesn't even know who Big Papi is LOL!
  4. Yeah! I bet he looks like older than me LOL!
  5. The ball park seems full and with great environment compadre. I bet you are having a great time mostly because we are winning. Enjoy!
  6. He's under cost-control until 2021. i.e. If he keeps this level, we will have an ace for a while.
  7. With another top-of-the rotation arm type, we can compete vs Cubs any day of the week. IMO our offense is better. On the other hand, I don't know what to think regarding our BP moving forward.
  8. Wright, by far. Everybody knew that JBJ had the tools and while it still a surprise because he wasn't producing, the talent was/is there to be a five tool player.
  9. People thought that he was going to be an automatic top-of the-rotation guy when he joined to the staff after his injury. He's a kid who still has to be shaped, and going to take time. DD has to upgrade this staff with someone.
  10. Twins being the twins.

    The Cubs

Yeah and their offense is outstanding too. I really would like a WS against them.
  12. Great memory and post my friend. Here in Mexico all the streets were empties when he pitched. He was a phenomenon in a sport which arguably was not even at our top 3 at the time. Valenzuela is in the same top tier where only Hugo Sanchez and Julio Cesar Chavez are of all times in Mexico's sports history.
  13. Definitely no one saw that coming, not even himself LOL!. It's very refreshing to watch him pitch after a year of very very bad pitching. Hopefully he can keep this level.
  14. Mexico leads its group in La Copa Amerca Centenario after 2 solid wins vs Uruguay and Jamaica. Next Monday we will face Venezuela. The most likely team we are going to face in the next round will be Chile, but we need to at least tie against Venezuela. As I said, I like our chances to win it all this time. Colombia, Argentina and Brazil are also favorites. My guess is that the semifinals will be Mexico vs Brazil and Argentina vs Colombia.
  15. LOL! Yeah they arguably the worst team in the AL.
  16. Wonder what would it take to land Ventura if so... The KCR will try to sell his youth and relative success in recent years like gold.
  17. Probably it is about semantics. Yeah, Ventura at the No. 5 spot is not a bad idea. On the other hand, IMO we have to grab first a solid No.1-2 and then if you want Ventura, I do not see it bad --at reasonable price of course.
  18. Yordano Ventura's career run prevention #s concur at 4. (SIERA, xFIP, FIP). His SO #s are great but he walks a lot of people. This year he has been awful in almost every metric, but before 2016, he had solid No. 3 numbers. He is young and his ceiling could be interesting in his prime, but seems like his head is somewhere else. If he is coached well (mentally and physically) he could end up posting what his career ERA says or maybe better moving forward. --3.8. Am I interested? Well, If he is supposed to be a depth arm --plus his upside and youth-- , I'll take him anyday of the week at a reasonable price, but if he is supposed to be the answer to our pitching problems, I pass.
  19. While I want the right calls in the strike zone --who doesn't-- the "flavor" of the game with all this technology and new rules --like the sliding thing at 2nd base-- is kind of losing some "essentials" of the game. Probably most of old school fans are against technology while most of youmg fans are in favor. IMO the way the calls are made won't change or at least not soon, so we have to live with it whether you like it or not.
  20. Also as far I remember MIN doesn't have a good offense, so this shouldn't be a big deal for Wright, E-Rod and Porcello.
  21. Hopefully not Spud, although the offense has cooled down a bit. Seems like we are going to need that our pitching staff do the job this time.
  22. Back to topic. A series vs MIN is coming, I'll be surprised if we don't sweep them while TOR and BAL will face each other, it will be a great opportunity to re-take the lead of the division.
  23. Well done YTON. It was getting ridiculous.
  24. I was thinking just the same. Young should have taken that AB, he was a better bet than Shaw who is slumping. Then you should've gone with Papi. Not sure what Farrell was thinking.
