  1. Would you prefer Price and Porcello over Lester and Lackey? I don't think it's the same situation Bell. Considering their contracts and what I've been seeing from them, I think I would consider it.
  2. No one is arguing that station although it was part of the problem when Papelbon wasn't around until we found Koji. Anyways... DD has a tremendous challenge right now, fix the mess in our rotation in the next month.
  3. At this point Jason, we need 2 SPs and a reliever if we want to compete. A No. 1-2, a solid No. 4-5 and a setup.
  4. The wise move would have been keep Papelbon.
  5. If we become sellers, will you sell Price and Porcello if there's an interested team? Interesting situation.
  6. Yeah, letting go Miller was also a mistake. They did everything wrong regarding pitching that could be possibly done. DD has to clean their mess.
  7. Buchh is done Kim. He is not SP anymore. IMO and considering how the market seems right now, it's going to be tough to grab an arm. As I've been saying the last two years, get the goddamn pitching in the offseason.
  8. Koji was a one-hit-wonder as closer. He wasn't even a closer prior Boston. ...and remember, he was not even going to be our closer. We were very very lucky to give him that role.
  9. ... and you can make a case for Lester and Lackey as well. We definitely were a mess building pitching staffs. It is still taxing us.
  10. ...and Bailey? LOL! Funny, all of them tried to replace Papelbon's productivity. None succeeded.
  11. If Price is the problem we are done guys. Price is not pitching at his norms, but he is the least of our problems. We need a solid pitcher (No. 1-2) and a decent No. 4-5. The lack of this my friends is the real problem. We are only competitive in 3 out of 5 days every week -- and sometimes only 1 or 2. You won't go anywhere like this unless your offense make 10+ Rs in those days --like they did in April and May.
  12. Not sure what to say anymore. We aren't pitching and now we aren't hitting. The season is starting to get ugly.
  13. Price's contract is beginning to look very awful.
  14. But still! LOL! Koji is kind of done but he won't allow 4 Rs, will he?
  15. Why is Wright warming up? Farrell seems panicked. LOL!
  16. Wow! We have to make runs. I don't trust in Porcello.
  17. He's a GB pitcher right? Now it's the moment to prove it.
  18. f***ing Porcello, throw freaking strikes!
  19. IMO young controlled arms who belong to contender teams like Carrasco are pipe dreams. On the other hand, if you want a guy like Teheran, Gray, etc. you will likely have to give up a big haul of prospects. Also, aces like Sale are franchise players. They are untouchables. The WS will lock out this guy -- They won't s*** the bed as we did with Lester. IMO 2nd-tier arms who can pitch at times like No. 1s and have large contracts or will become FA soon could be more realistic options coming from L-teams.
  20. Who in the hell is this kid Snell? Can we grab at least someone like him, please?
  21. Wonder what a hitter thinks when he goes to the plate after this mess.
  22. 9-0 against the Rays and the 3rd has not even ended. Wow!
