The Red Sox had a 3.67 ERA in July, in which Lester and Dempster both had tough starts, Buch wasn't even around, and Workman took 3 starts.
Right now, Buch is scheduled to throw off a mound, Workman has shown that he is going to be able to fill in very well, and we acquired Peavy. That's 7 strong starting pitchers right there, once Buch gets back, and 6 even until he doesn't. Even if Lackey went down last night, that still gives them a rotation of Peavy - Doubront - Lester - Workman - Dempster. And that's still a very solid rotation.
