  1. Looks like all the tests came back positive in the real world sense, as in negative for any broken bones or problems. Still, I'm sure he's sore as crap. He's been an outstanding player thus far for the Sox (in terms of WAR, a top 11 OF in all of MLB, and top 30 offensive player in all of MLB). According to Fangraphs, he's been worth $7mm this year so far. His 1.4 WAR is only 0.1 behind Robbie Cano and Pedey. Very pleasant surprise. His defense has been outrageous.
  2. This made me laugh because we have a 185 lb Great Dane that thinks he's a 4 pound Yorkie.
  3. #Regression Going to be a long, long tumble.
  4. He's absolutely insinuating that the Yankees are going to get better and completely ignoring the performance given by the rag dolls that the Yanks picked up. Stats > Names.
  5. Cecchini is just absolutely dominating right now. 2/3 with a 2B and a HR yesterday. It's really just not fair. His line this year: .371/.476/.675, 5 HR (previous career high was 4), 12 2B, 4 3B, 11 SB 20:17 BB:K. That's all in 32 games.
  6. So this 104 win pace you're on is only going to improve?? Watch out, 2001 Mariners.
  7. He's had multiple hits in 3 of his last 4 games. He's certainly not back to being himself, but it's a far cry from the 5 for 54 stretch he went on during April.
  8. Yanks are 7-1 in 1 run games. I see regression coming.
  9. Overall, yes. But he looks to be coming out of his slump. He's got 5 doubles in his last 4 games, and he's hitting .313 with a .958 OPS in that span. I know it's an extremely SSS, but it looks like his approach is changing and he's hitting the ball with more authority to the opposite field.
  10. It's a shame that we didn't have a good RHH that plays catcher to hit for Salty there, like Lavarnway or something. Oh wait...
  11. A .500 team maybe better. Lol. This is still an 88-92 win team. Every team goes through stretches like this. No problem. It's frustrating now but it will get corrected. Despite what Jackoff says, this team isn't going to go 1-47 with RISP every week.
  12. It's the average salary of the top, I believe, 100 players. Last year it was 13.3mm. This year I think it's more in the 14-15mm range. With his injuries and if his poor performance keeps up, he'd be hard pressed to find that value on the market in terms of AAV. He may accept the offer and try to go on a pillow contract and rebuild his value next year.
  13. So tired of this anemic offense when a runner gets into scoring position. This is absolutely infuriating to watch. I hope they get their asses chewed out for such a pathetic showing. This team is laughable right now. Certainly not a first place team, not even close.
  14. Infield would have been in, and the way Jansen threw to Nava would have certainly changed, as would Navas approach.
  15. I'm going to lose my s*** with this team. It's freaking ridiculous. Runner on 2nd and nobody out down 1 in the 9th and you bloop a pop out to short??? If you're swinging you better be damn sure you can get that ball on the right side of the infield. That Middlebrooks ended up at 2nd after all was said and done is very indicative of how this offensive approach is just horrific right now. Just horrific
  16. What an absolutely pathetic showing right there. Freaking ridiculous
  17. Wow. This team just continues to be absolutely terrible with RISP.
  18. Terrible at bat by Drew. He's gotta pull the ball there. That very well could cost the game
  19. Come on Drew, pull through!!!!!
  20. I was thinking this too, but I'll just take a double and an RBI single for Drew.
  21. Lind Lawrie Rasmus. How can you give up a run to those freaking bums. Terrible outing by Taz. Why the hell do you throw the curve there??
  22. Did Remy just call the 74 mph curve that dropped about 15 inches a split fingered fastball??
