  1. http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/cache/numlocation_io.php-pitchSel=453198&game=gid_2013_05_26_clemlb_bosmlb_1&batterX=66&innings=yyyyyyyyy&sp_type=1&s_type=3.gif Pitch 6 to Pedey was as borderline as they come. Not sure what you're seeing? Perez didn't get squeezed as much as you think.
  2. It's my understanding that he's only going to miss 1-2 days, not a full turn, so probably pitching against the Phillies. Though if he is on the bump on Thursday, I'd rather have him throw Friday in NY.
  3. Meanwhile in Pawtucket, Bradley is 1-2 with a walk and is now hitting .348. My guess is that they let Carp play LF at Fenway, then after Aceves starts Tuesday and they go on the road, they option Aceves and call up Bradley to play LF or RF and let Nava play the other. They go to NY after Philly, so I would expect Bradley to play LF there, as he did very well out there in the opening series.
  4. Yup. And I remember Salty spouting off about looking fastball every pitch and got one he could handle. The next day he came up with another chance in the 9th and was fed about 5 changeups and that's it.
  5. Want an even bigger twilight zone moment? 1 year ago today, Salty hit the 2 run walk off bomb off Fernando Rodney!
  6. That at bat by Iggy reminded me of the at bat of Nick Green in August of 09 against Fuentes and the Angels when he took a tough 3-2 strike pitch to take a walk and push across the tying run w 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. Then I think it was Alex Gonzalez who blooped a pitch down the LF line for the game winner. That was a good game. Today was better.
  7. Nah, Ells never goes oppo. WHAT A FREAKING FINISH!!!!!!!
  8. Ellsburys dropped pop up and GIDP were the turning points in this game. He virtually single handedly lost the game.
  9. The strikeouts and GIDP's will make a man go insane. This team is horrific in these categories, worse than any team I've seen in a long long time, perhaps ever
  10. I'm shocked that a terrible pitcher is shutting down the Sox. Shocked I tell you!!

  12. Are you kidding me Salty?!? 3-1 count and you swing at ball 4 twice?!? That's ridiculous!!!!!
  13. Ells is absolutely the goat thus far. By the way Gammons has an awesome article up today on front shoulder injuries and how it affects hitters much more than people think, he cites Ells Kemp and Gonzo. Very good read.
  14. It is sad that there are essentially two hitters in this lineup that I get excited to watch hit: Pedroia and Carp.
  15. He's getting ahead lately and making them chase. That's just pitching
  16. I remember clearly the HR he hit to LF. It was in the Yankees game on Aug 31, 2011
  17. I'm not saying he needs to hit for power the other way. When he's lining balls over the shortstops head and into the left center gap, that's when he's going well, and that's why he was able to belt homeruns in 2011, because he was using the whole field and hitting XBH to LF
  18. He went oppo a ton in 2011
  19. Hey Ellsbury, take a lesson. It's called GOING OPPO
  20. DROP ELLSBURY IN THE FREAKING ORDER HE IS PATHETIC
  21. Oh my gosh. I'm ready to DFA Ellsbury
  22. Hey Ellsbury. Bunt pls. If you don't, you're just going to GIDP
  23. You know Iggy is going to get the Sox first knock
