  1. I would run all day on Salty. All day.
  2. Oops. Apparently Farrell double switched Carp out of the game. So Miller is due up 4th next inning. Which will obviously mean Ortiz.
  3. Doesn't have to come out of the 9 slot. Ortiz could very well hit for Salty and use Ross behind the dish, or for Carp and put Bradley in LF and use the double switch so Bradley gets up in the 9th. So he will likely hit next inning.
  4. Wow Ells got hosed there. Should be juiced with 1 out.
  5. No way. Keep Ortiz to the 8th or 9th IMO.
  6. If ever anyone was due...
  7. Iglesias is swinging the bat with so much more authority its insane.
  8. That was 98 pitches for Lack. With him due up this inning I'd say that's it for him. Probably Gomes is first off the bench I would guess.
  9. Wow I thought that was gone off the bat no doubt
  10. Honestly just put the ball in the air
  11. Probably done, final line of 7 IP, 1 H, 0 BB, 8 K
  12. He went deep here last year
  13. Yeah, we used to have a drinking game called the Tour De Franzia. It involved bikes and various wines.
  14. Kevin Frandsen reminds me of boxed wine.
  15. Hot humid day in this park = balls will be flying out
  16. 5-0 Mets!! Haha. Phelps threw 0.1 IP
  17. I posted it in the prospect thread too, but Bogaerts has hit 2 homers tonight in 3 innings. Side note, Brentz hit his 10th homer tonight too.
  18. Bogaerts has gone deep twice tonight in the first 3 innings. Yay.
  19. I don't understand it. He's like 19 for his last 36 and you bench him?? That makes no sense. Especially in an NL game where pitching and defense wins games.
  20. From April 28 - May 28, one month, Lyle Overbay has hit .270/.321/.530, 6 HR, 20 RBI. Yeah. Tex is an upgrade. The same Tex who hasn't had an OPS over .850 since 2009 and each year his OPS has decreased.
  21. Not to mention Tex doesn't exactly get off to hot starts, wrist injuries destroy power, and he's been on a downward spiral since 2009. If there is one thing that I've learned about injuries, it's that the player you get back when he returns does not equal the player you had before the injury, at least not for a month or two.
  22. Go. Get. Cliff. Lee. Cecchini (#23 prospect in MLB per Keith Law) plus two of Lavarnway, Brentz, and Doubront. And take on the majority of the salary.
  23. What?? His average has never dipped below .289, and his OBP has been under .390 for exactly 2 days, games 1 and 2 of the season. Power numbers have been slow, but he's been a ridiculous player the entire season. He certainly did not have a slow start at all.
