NHL expansion is such a bad idea. Instead of giving Canada more teams, they'll be hellbent on bringing hockey to more subprime American markets who don't really want it - Las Vegas, eg.
What are you basing that on? Wouldn't you need to see the stats broken out by pitchers' height? Has that been done anywhere? Plenty of anecdotal evidence - ie Randy Johnson - but I'd be interested in seeing the cold hard stats.
Are we retiring the number because he played his whole career here and was a good leader? Or are we retiring it based on his numbers? Because neither is a good enough reason imo. I hate that teams seem to lower the standards, it cheapens the whole thing.
I hope one day after his suspension ends he tears his UCL. Sounds like a real dirtbag, so naturally he'll be right at home with the Junior Circuit's New York franchise.
