The solution to this problem is simple. Take Lester aside, and let him know that he is the leader of the rotation. Give him the game 1 start. This is not Beckett's team anymore. Until 2011, Lester has always appeared to be a very hard worker. The last several years, he has been the first to show up at Ft. Myers, and the Red Sox coaches have said very warm and glowing things about him.
