    Nah, you're not alone by any means. It has just been one of those seasons where there is significantly more to complain about than to be positive about. At some point, everyone will look at the trades/deals that this team makes in the offseason, realize that this team is still stacked, and start to look forward to the next year.

    Nowhere did I say that any of these guys will turn into all-stars or hall of fame candidates. Middlebrooks played, what, ten games in AAA? And injuries happen. The Sox have such a strong front-end that all they really need is depth, and they will have options at multiple positions.

    Of the Red Sox's top 15 prospects, 7 will start 2012 in AAA or the majors. And considering the sheer number of 1st round picks they had in 2009, 2010, and likely 2011, I would bet the Red Sox get a steady stream of major league players from their farm moving moving forward.

    Lackey is going absolutely nowhere. People need to stop believing that there is a team out there willing to give any money whatsoever for a guy who had the worst season in baseball, and who is a PR nightmare. He is worth more money on this team than playing for someone else.
