  1. I hated the Feliciano signing. Hopefully if anything it teaches Cashman a lesson.
  2. Montero is a beast. that is all.
  3. Jesus is God. Another opposite shot. They aren't even cheap right field shots.
  4. Came inside and saw Montero with a nice single. he's 2 for 2 today. I believe thats three straight hits for him.
  5. Come on taking shots at the mets is a little old.
  6. Yeah def not the right decision to leave him in. Oh well, hopefully the Rangers can take the trash out tonight.
  7. I'll never understand the love affair Yankee fans have with Cody Johnson. I just don't see it myself.
  8. Minor league season is almost over. I figure I'll update my list. My personal list 1. Xander Bogaerts - Really like this dude. He's a fine player should be interesting how he does next year. Could be looking at a top 30 talent this time next year. Looking at a top 80 ranking this year. 2. Will Middlebrooks - Breakout year, looking at a top 50 ranking this year. 3. Brandon Jacobs - Whats not to like? Explosive athlete, got some tools and is having a fine year. Also could be looking at a top 50 talent this time next year if stuff goes his way. 4. Ryan Lavarnway - Very good hitter, could/should replace Ortiz as the DH next year. Probably looking at a top 60 ranking this year on lists. 5. Garin Cecchini - Along with Bogaerts and Jacobs, Cecchini finishes a trio of prospects I really like in the Sox system. Got hurt this year but could be looking at a top 100 prospect next year. 6. Anthony Ranaudo - From here for me at least the list really falls off, Ranaudo is having a solid year but really getting panned by scouts. Might be looking at a bust ot a reliever in the majors. 7. Alex Wilson - Having a fine season. Could be a 4th starter if things fall into place or a 5th SP/Long man. 8. Blake Swihart - Really good hitter, Sox might of finally found their catcher of the future with this guy. Although he's probably five years off. 9. Matt Barnes - A good pick up, should be very interesting to see what he can do next year. Sox fans should be excited about him. 10. Bryce Brentz - Needs to see a few more walks but good power numbers. Lets see if he can continue it in other less than hitter friendly parks.
  9. Red Sox always seem to score off Mo, but it seems like Bard always gives up a few runs to the Yankees.
  10. Theo and Cashman should watch the movie Strangers on the Train and crisscross with Lackey and Burnett.
  11. I wonder why Garcia was throwning up gang sings when Cervelli got hit. It's not like he's mexican or that his 86 mph fastball would hurt anyone.
  12. Can't wait to see Mark Montgomery next year. Should start in Tampa and end with Scranton. In 2013 he could be ease his way into a MR role out of ST and be a nice 7th inning guy by the end of the 2013. He had another IP with 3Ks
  13. Definitely in a better position than the Yankees this off season. Yankees will have about 190 million on their payroll assuming CC doesn't opt out and Marte's option isn't picked up, before they even sign a free agent.
  14. Didn't you watch the first and second game of the series?
  15. Yankees claimed Pena. He'd be a nice platoon with Jones at DH
  16. Seems like it could be Andrew Friedman who gets hired, which would be good for both the Sox and Yankees to get him away from the Rays.
  17. post draft 1. Jeusus Montero C 2. Manny Banuelos LHSP 3. Dellin Betances RHSP 4. Gary Sanchez C 5. Austin Romine C 6. Slade Heathcott CF - Really believe him, sure he's been hurt but he's a heck of a talent and proved that to start the year. 7. Mason Williams CF - If he stays healthy could be looking at No. 2 or even 1 next year in the system. 8. JR Murphy C 9. Brett Marshall RHSP 10. Adam Warren RHSP 11. Cito Culver SS 12. Graham Stoneburner RHSP 13. Dante Bitchette 3B 14. David Phelps RHSP 15. Angelo Gumbs 2B 16. Jordon Cote RHSP 17. Bryan Mitchell RHSP - I hope he can really break out next year. 18. Greg Bird C 19. Corban Joseph 2B 20. Mark Montgomery RHRP 21. Ramon Flores LF 22. Ravel Santana CF 23. Zolio Almonte OF 24. DJ Mitchell RHSP 25. Brandon Laird 3B 26. David Adams 2B 27. Jake Cave OF 28. Tyler Austin 3B 29. Andrew Brackman RHSP 30. Rafael DePaula RHSP - Hopefully he can get his visa next year Just Missed Melky Mesa Jose Ramirez Chase Whitley Jose Quintana Rookie Davis Just five out of the top 30 aren't up the middle.
  18. Tyler Austin went off today. Charleston is going to be very fun to watch next year. Williams, Austin, Culver, Gumbs and Nunez playing in a full season league. Even Gamel is a great hitter, just doesn't have the tools, imo to reach the majors.
  19. According to a poster on nyyfans some A's scouts were at the double dip Trenton game, tracking Mesa and Joseph. Perhaps for a Harden deal?
  20. He said that call or that pitch was ********. then girardi yelled at the ump.
  21. So outside of rounds 1 through 4 did the Sox pick up any talent? I know you got Betts who looks like a nice get but didn't follow the rest after him.
