Hughes pitched really well in Texas this year and as jacko mentioned they don't want a rookie on the mound in a high pressure game 7 if it comes down to that.

Why don't they just have Burnett go against Lee? Chances are Lee will give up less runs then Pettitte.

Yankees did a pretty good job against Wilson this year, waiting him out by working the count and allowing him to beat himself. He only pitched 14 innings against the Yankees in 3 starts, all of which the Rangers lost; posting a 5.65 ERA. Hughes has been dominant in Rangers stadium this year, almost threw a no hitter there earlier in the season.

Twin's are going to be without Justin Morneau the entire post season. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs/2010/news/story?id=5648242 Without him, the Twin's stand little chance of beating the Yankees, was hitting .345 with 18 homers and 56 RBIs when he was injured on July 7. I'm rather surprised after 3 months he still hasn't recovered from a concussion.
