  1. Yeah Girardi pushed the envelope with Burnett, he should have been hooked after the Guerrero single. He was sharp early in the game but it was obvious he started losing it in the 5th. . Having Logan face Hamilton again after he hit a bullet the night before was also a poor choice. Offensively you can't leave out Cano; who's 7/15 /w 3 HR / 4 RBI but besides the two of them the rest of the line up has really sucked.
  2. I said it made sense, because on paper it did. But it turned out to blow up in Girardi's face. The Yankees could've been up 3-1 now instead of down.
  3. The Playoffs are a whole different animal then the regular season, you shouldn't look too deeply into whats on paper. Bottom line is, you should have your best pitchers go often as possible.
  4. RB Michael Turner and OLB Calvin Pace
  5. This bullpen is terrible, CC is going to have to pitch 8 innings and give it to Mo' in the 9th if they want to win tomorrow.
  6. What would you guys say is more valuable? A.) Jesus Montero + 2 other prospects B.) Renting Lee for half a season to repeat WS win Yankees were on the brink of obtaining Lee earlier this season, but it didn't work out; only to have him come back and knock them out of the playoffs, makes me question if passing on him was worth it for those 3 players.
  7. s***** Burnett showed up late, just gave up a 3 run homer..
  8. Time for the Yanks to blow up there bullpen
  9. Seats behind home plate are rather expensive in Yankees stadium. People don't want to pay top dollar in this recession.
  10. Glad we have Cano to carry this offense.
  11. Yeah AJ will be on a short leash, they can't let him give up 5+ runs
  12. Yeah I have very little faith in AJ, he has been horrid this season. He had a 80 pitch simulated game last week which didn't go to well, hitting two of his own team mates with the ball. Hopefully he can manage to string together a decent start, he has a chip on his shoulder. This Yankees offense needs to start producing. Tex, A Rod, Swisher are 3/34 combined in this series, that just won't cut it. If they can't score against Hunter tonight I doubt they will the rest of this series. These next 3 games are critical, Lee will be extremely difficult to beat if it drags on to Game 7.
  13. I can live with 2 rings in 3 years
  14. Oh well, At least the Yankees will be near unbeatable in the playoffs next year with a 1-2 punch of Lee and Sabathia.
  15. Girardi could have very well cost the Yankees the series by swapping Hughes and Pettitte in the rotation
  16. 99.9 , Lee will get the contract he wants; plus it doesn't hurt he has a bromance with CC from there days in Cleveland.
  17. Lee will be in pinstripes next year, why else do you think they passed on a good deal to obtain Dan Haren earlier this season? Also I think Jeter knows he's past his prime and deserves a cut.
  18. Cashman said today that they will, the only other scenario i see is them asking CC if he'd rather pitch Game 4 or Game 5; possibly switching starts with AJ.
  19. I'd say both teams have a 50/50 chance tonight
  20. same with Knox please
  21. RT Trent Williams and LG Andy Levitre
  22. Didn't realize it was my turn, I'll make my picks shortly
  23. Opps I meant last year, he almost threw a no-hitter against them. When he dominated the Rangers with eight shutout innings, leading the Yankees to an easy 11-1 win. There's pros and cons to both scenarios, both of them seem valid.
