  1. The average retirement age of QB's is 38, but back to your point. Ray Lewis is quite possibly the most talented LB in the past decade, he definitely still has a few good years left. On Sunday, November 21st 2010, Lewis became only the second player in NFL history to record at least 30 interceptions and 30 sacks in his career, and at 38, he'd still be younger then LB Junior Seau was 40 years old playing for the Patriots last couple years.
  2. Seems a lot of people think Wayne and Ochocinco will be slouches in 3 years which I don't agree, they'll be 34-35. Donald Driver for example will be 36 in 3 months and he still had 1060 receiving yards with 6 TD's last year. In 3 years Peyton will be 37, Brady in will 36, and Brees with be 35, does that mean younger QB's should be valued more just because they're older and "lost a step" ?
  3. WEEI's Rob Bradford is reporting that a source has confirmed that the Red Sox and their new All-Star first baseman have agreed to terms on a seven-year, $154 million contract extension
  4. Jeter's deal is 3 yrs, $51 million with player option for $8 million in 4th yr. Jeter has $9 mil in incentives in 4th yr
  5. Sox aren't the Yankees, they'll ether sign Werth or Crawford, I don't see them signing one of them and then offering Lee a 23-24mill per year contract.
  6. I'd be rather surprised if they sign both Lee and Crawford, I think that would put them in a 230-240 million payroll range for next year?
  7. If the Yankees were smart they would've let Jeter walk and gave that money to Crawford.
  8. Well they already beat the Patriots earlier this season 28-14, and they lost to the Raven's by 1 point. Colts aren't a elite team this year, I think the 6-5 record shows that. Losing Dallas Clark and replacing there old guards has really hurt them. Patriots are better on Offense; the Jets are better on Defense and Special Teams, its a good matchup.
  9. Screw the Heat, Lakers are the team to beat.
  10. Sending mine in within the next hour.
  11. Sure is, Durant Jr.
  12. I think Werth and the The Edge (WWE) could be twins. http://thegoldensombrero.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/jayson-Werth.jpg
  13. Yankees plan on setting up a meeting with Crawford, its possible theres room for both Crawford and Lee. Angels are still viewed as favorite for Crawford, but if the Yanks do land him they'll trade Swisher or Gardner
  14. Jason Varitek will sign a one-year deal for $2 million to return to the Red Sox, with another $300,000 in incentives based on playing time The deal originally was reported by SI.com and confirmed by a source to ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick.
  15. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_XFWmNyyPSTQ/TO1QQAHfexI/AAAAAAAAB80/XHhFXZ-N6T8/s1600/derek+jeter+red+sox+uniform+new+york+post.jpg
  16. Does it really matter who see's her face? I mean with that way of thinking you may as well make her were in a veil in public so weirdos in real life can't see her ether.
  17. The New York Daily News, citing a source, reported that Rangers president Nolan Ryan has reached out to his fellow Texan, Pettitte, in an effort to recruit him to Arlington. The Yankees' biggest fear would be if the Rangers not only kept Lee, but also swiped Pettitte. http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/news/story?id=5864647 lol after Yanks trying to lure away Lee now Rangers want to lure away Pettitte
  18. If I recall correctly Vazquez had a gentlemen's agreement with the Yankees that he wouldn't accept arbitration
  19. (4) It won't matter that technically, given his skills and age, he's only worth $45M for three years when he looks to his right and across the infield to first and to the pitcher's mound and sees a handful of teammates making far more than he does, even though they have only contributed to 1 World Series ring/win versus Jeter's 5. After all, if you're a Yankee fan, all you care about is World Championship rings, right? And if so, who deserved and deserves more than your franchise leader in the almighty rings race? The Yankees paid Derek Jeter 189 million dollars over the last 10 years for his service to the franchise, that doesn't mean he should get 20+ million every year until the day he decides to retire.
  20. Jeter is destroying his image by coming off as greedy and spoiled... “If the Yankee brass does not stop belittling and demeaning Jeter, I will never buy another ticket to see the Yankees play,” wrote “Esta Zavota.” “If they could give ‘A-Roid’ a contract that will take him well into his 40s, they should take care of one of the greatest Yankees ever that has donned the Pinstripes. Show him some degree of respect as George would have done.” Except A-Rod wasn't 36 at the time coming off the worst year of his career, A-Rod was coming off a MVP season leading the AL in home runs (54), RBIs (156), slugging percentage (.645), OPS (1.067), and it was also before his steroid use came to light. Yankees thought there would be alot of offers coming his way if he hit FA
  21. I think Mariano Rivera, Reggie Jackson, and Don Mattingly could be in the discussion.
