  1. You say you're sorry for bragging only to continue bragging. You're just another old relic who puts his knowledge above all others'. I'd say my knowledge of baseball, as well as human relations beyond the mid-20th century, are a great deal better than yours gramps.
  2. Exactly. And no one's going to believe you. From a completely objective POV, you'd even have to say you're full of s***. Just like everything Fred's bragging about.
  3. http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-reasons-you-should-never-brag-internet/ Here, for you Fred.
  4. Anyways. You should try reading a Cracked article on why bragging on the internet is a bad idea. Whats so funny is the first time I read it, I thought of several internet people I've encountered in my life, and one of them is you.
  5. Well Freddy, I read the first paragraph and called ********. No one takes your proclaimed scouting knowledge seriously. If you really want to be taken seriously, you'll drop the elitist knowledge crap, because no one believes any of it, and stop saying guys with minimal major league experience are proven. Him becoming a 30 HR hitter is not a sure thing. Your whole argument is based on minor league stats dude. I think he's got a 30 HR potential as well, but at this point predicting that belongs in the fearless predictions thread.
  6. Muggah would never make a positive prediction. He would say more like "slugs well under .400, Salty gets DFA'd anyways". *makes up stupid nickname for Ben*
  7. They'll be okay at SS one way or another, might suck offensively or defensively, or just be viable, but it will work. Rotation needs health and two guys to step up. No question.
  8. I still remember people saying he sucks early on, then a couple weeks into his hot streak some of those guys were saying how he turned a corner. Some of the doubters even started calling him elite after a couple months of lighting it up. Realism apparently goes right out the door for some people.
  9. Yup, and thats pretty negative for this place. Or it was. You remember how everyone was when he was on that hot streak. He was the future this, elite catcher that.
  10. Anyways, I don't like having a simply viable offensive catcher who sucks at D. I'm as anti-Salty as you'll see on talksox, aside from maybe SCM or a700. I think overall he's a pretty crappy starting option. He is at least above league average offensively, and its better than nothing.. Or Drew Butera.
  11. As a supportive stat BA is still useful, his BA usage was not in support of anything.
  12. OPS was around .750, which is decent for a catcher. Most catchers are closer to Drew Butera than they are to Joe Mauer or Vic Martinez. BA isnt a very good stat to go off of.
  13. They will contend if Reyes is good and Hanley gets back to where he was. Also think Bonafacia must progress some more, JJ has to be healthy all year. I think a good part of this will turn out, but they certainly have the tools.
  14. Isn't it only proper that some hick who collects guns would also be ignorant enough to classify all Red Sox fans together.
  15. Its just not funny or creative. I could care less how affectionate or disrespectful the nicks are. Blogboy, Big Diva, would make me chuckle the same way you chuckle at young children who make an attempt at humor. It might not be "funny" but its sort of adoreable.
  16. No one's sensitive about nicknames. I'll give props if its decent. At least Nancy Drew was fitting in a couple of ways. Just like comedy, you're going to get heckled when you put s***** material out there. End of discussion.
  17. Delusional, sensitive, crappy sense of humor, struts around victoriously when getting his chops. Sup Reck?
  18. You feel insulted by comments about how dry Shaughnessy's humor tank is? Thin-skinned troll is thin-skinned.
  19. Its easy to call anyone something worse than a "blowhard" or "blogboy". Thats about equivalent to calling David Ortiz "Big Diva" or Theo "Blunder". Just call someone a f***er and give in to the fact that your humor is about as qualified as Dane Cook's.
