  1. Just because Cameron may play CF, doesn't mean Jacoby would be traded. He would be moved to LF. No way they trade their starting centerfielder, leadoff hitter, and stolen base threat just because they signed Cameron - in addition to Buchholz. They can stick Cameron in left too. I'm assuming it's Ellsbury in CF and Cameron/Hermida in LF. I don't know if they would trust Hermida being an everyday player. Unless the Sox can turn Jacoby/Kelly/B Prospect into Adrian, I don't see him being traded. With that being said, an OF defense of Cameron, Ellsbury, and Drew is unbelievable.
  2. I could see him landing with shorter money than expected if Cameron does indeed sign with the Sox but would they really do it with Crawford a FA in 2011. I think Damon is more likely.
  3. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4742072 Was definitely expecting somewhere in the 4-5 year range
  4. They offered that before he hired his new agent and Hendricks said his client was not accepting offers at the time so who knows.
  5. I think Seattle is for some reason the sub story here but from what I know they came out on top with this trade because now they have a double barrel Ace at the top of the rotation in a pitchers park. They sign Bay and they could be really be cooking with gas
  6. With the emphasis the Sox brass puts into pitching I have a hard time believing that this is the case. I expect either Beckett or Lee to be here. It's been reported they are trying to sign him to an extension. Probably comparable to Lackey deal so 5/85-90?
  7. Cabrera (because of his contract) probably but who knows with Detroit asking for Buchholz or Ellsbury for Granderson
  8. Potential? Everyone has potential. I have potential. Fact is the AG would be a cornerstone of this organization for years to come. Hanley will not be traded, so you can forget about that.
  9. Buchholz AND Kelly OR Westmoreland
  10. Just as likely I'd say. We now have a fallback plan though in case Beckett doesn't sign an extension.
  11. It was reported that one of Westmoreland/Kelly has to be given up in addition to Buch to get the deal done. Buchholz, Kelly, B prospect (Almanzar?) for Adrian
  12. 5/85, AJ was 5/82.5 and they were just using that for comparison as a benchmark
  13. Dont like it, you have to try and keep Lee in that situation or just sign the younger Lee longterm.
  14. Prospects that Philly gets in return for Lee.

  16. Heyman already reporting it like the deal is done.
  17. This is stupid. The Yankees are better right now, but the difference is not as much as Jacko would want us to believe. Let's keep this conversation to John Lackey and the Red Sox rotation.
  18. I wouldn't put Mueller and Clement in the same camp as the other two.
