  1. Agreed. Lowell wouldn't have come with 3 feet of Granderson's grounder in the 9th
  2. why extend ramirez into a third inning ... for f***'s sake
  3. Yes, but 2 of the wins did come in the shootout which we can not fall back on in the playoffs. I'm just not confident playing Ryan Miller in a 7 game playoff setting (See: Olympics)
  4. Look at Atlanta's remaining schedule: Washington Pittsburgh New Jersey Washington Pittsburgh Looks like the top 8 are set in terms of which teams will be in the playoff, just not the order. Who do you guys want to play in the 1st Round? If season ended today, it would be Buffalo. I was thinking today about how far ahead the Caps are on everyone else. They have possibly the worse division in all of the NHL. Wonder what their stats would be if they had some good teams in their division. If they were in the Atlantic (where they should be), they would probably be right up there with Pitt and NJ, but not as many points. Personally, I don't think they're winning jack w/ that goaltending and 25th-ranked PK. But great job beating up on Tampa, Carolina, Atlanta and Florida all year. What a joke of a division.

  6. Agreed, the officiating is so different from game to game. You almost need to scout the officials more than the opposing team. Not the exact wording but it basically says if you grab and are holding the rim before the ball goes through that should be offensive interference, and from what I saw, Thomas touched the rim before the ball went through. Of course the crazy phantom foul on that play was just the cherry on top.
  7. They did execute better than Baylor down the stretch, but with that being said there were some bad calls that I saw in the last five minutes of this game when it was still close and who knows what would have happened if they went the other way. (i.e. thomas dunk should have been offensive interference). Always easy to second guess the refs, but just what I saw.
  8. Call it on Acy and nothing on Scheyer who looks so happy to be getting away with one. Scheyer can swing his elbows - no problem. Acy gets the T for bumping Smith or Scheyer. This is why America hates Duke.
  9. The charge on Acy really changed the entire game situation. No 5th on Zoubek, no BU basket, & then Nolan Smith bangs a three. Could/Should have been Baylor by 4, but Duke went up 1
  10. That was your Duke game-changing 6th man in stripes call. A 50-50 call goes against Acy. Then again, there is no such thing as a 50-50 call when Duke is involved.
  11. I do think Baylor is more athletic and quicker than Duke but I don't know about Baylor's 2-3 zone vs. Duke. They can't enforce their athletic edge in a passive defense and they don't seem to trap as much as the Syracuse zone.
  12. I thought it was. Probably just bitter because of a foul deciding a game. Izzo is an incredible coach - he gets his share of talent, no question about it, but not many coaches would have his resume with his teams. The guy is incredible. He ALWAYS find a way in March. 6 final fours, absurd. Very underrated in my opinion, when people start mentioning top college coaches.
  13. It has nothing to do with that. We've won a National Championship since - more recently that Kentucky. They lost to Indiana - I like Indiana. UK has been caught cheating just about more than anyone, then you add Cal, one of the big cheats ever as coach and what do you get? I've never liked Calipari - think he's a scum bag, and its only UK fans who doesn't think he is committing some recruiting violations, they have the most arrogant fans, and their team this year is more hatable than in recent years. Love the UK fans defending Cal from day 1 when they know he is the type they would rip on at any other school. As for Florida, yes, everyone in the conference hates UK. But, we'll always own you in football, so it's all good.
  14. I will root for all Big East teams in the tournament (except Georgetown), and it's just fans like you that make me dislike Kentucky - along with Calimari and just the personalities on this years UK team.
  15. Sure, maybe someday Cal will recruit players that will actually stay in the program for more than one year and that he can actually develop ... oh, wait he's not a good enough coach to do that.
  16. [youtube=John Wall Dance]2X28-OBeBOM Go to :45 seconds
  17. Tennessee and Michigan St. really filling it up right now
  18. Stat of the Day: Izzo is 15-3 on the 2nd day of an NCAA Tournament weekend. The three losses were to #1 seeds. Incredible tournament coach.
  19. You're about as mature as Demarcus Cousins!
  20. But, Calipari did not. P.S. Loved Flowers doing the John Wall dance on top of the scorers table! Epic!
  21. I can't even imagine how big a story it would be to have Butler home in Indy next week. Their campus is approximately 5 miles and 15 minutes away from Lucas Oil Stadium
  22. I hope he recovers but WV wasn't getting out of Syracuse anyway. They can't score. I left Buffalo very unimpressed with their offensive ability. They were/are getting rolled by UK in the Regional Final with or without Truck. Now they might simply get eliminated one round earlier. That's the only difference.
