  1. Can't you just find a different men's sport? lol
  2. who are the favorites now? kentucky, ....
  3. Any idea who wins the tie break between Maryland/Duke if Duke wins tonight?
  4. Morris to Phoenix Seidenberg to Boston
  5. All-Tournament team has been named: Goalie: Miller Defensemen: Rafalski, Weber Forwards: Demitra, Toews, Parise MVP: Ryan Miller
  6. What a day so far! Both #1 and #2 go down. It's hard to believe, but Syracuse is now playing for a No. 1 ranking against Villanova tonight. Even if both Syracuse and Purdue win this weekend (Purdue vs MSU tomorrow), there's no way Purdue can be #1. They don't have the resume UK, KU, and SU have and lost their best player.
  7. UK loses to Tennessee ... already a good day.
  8. Although stats weren't started until 1970, pretty sure Bill Russell or Wilt would still hold that record. No question he should be the defensive player of the year though.
  9. Patrick Kane will start the second period with a Molson and a cigar in his hands. Save some goals for the gold medal game, boys.
  10. When did Russia lose all ability to play hockey? Their lack of players that can/will work down low and forecheck is being exposed badly
  11. 6-1 Canada. Omg.
  12. Canada/Russia will be a quarterfinal match up. Soonest US/Canada can meet up is the Final, and that would sure be something to see.
  13. If Sweden wins, the quarterfinal matchup for the US would be the Belarus/Swiss winner
  14. Canada will beat Germany on Tuesday, then will have to face Russia. Should be a great matchup, and get one of the two powerhouses out of the tournament. Anyone know who US will face the winner of?
  15. unbelievable effort by kessler on the empty netter. great job by miller. he deserves the extra day off!!
  16. Ryan Miller is a god. Unbelievable save on Iginla.
  17. I'd substitute Sweden for the US. Their IIHF ranking is 3rd. They won the gold in 2006. I really like their roster - Kronwall, Franzen, Sedin twins, Zetterberg, Alfredsson, Backstrom, Lidstrom, Ohlund, Lundqvist, etc. Obviously, the US can't match talent for talent with Russia or Canada but they are legitimate contenders to medal simply because of the game-changing presence of Ryan Miller, who will be starting EVERY game, and I do believe he is the best goalie in the tournament. USA's defense is questionable though. It's a great defense for an NHL team, but not one of those players would have made the cut for Canada.
  18. you're really arguing with the officials? I can't remember a road team getting literally every single call like this in a close game. Wake me up when this UK team beats a quality opponent. They aren't doing anything in March. They went to OT against a middling SEC team missing it's 2 best players. Wall meanwhile getting the Lebron treatment. Breathe on him and you're whistled. This UK team is just so easy to dislike. Wall and Cousins are bitches laughing at the crowd exiting the arena and flashing gang signs. Lucky they didn't get jumped down there. The fans threw s*** tonight at the officials because they were utterly incompetent. If you don't want stuff thrown at you, do your job, like Jay Bilas said these guys are getting paid to do this job - do it right. I'm pretty sure once Cousins had his 4th foul he could have just hung on the opponents rim the rest of the game blocking shots and not been called for a single goaltending violation or a technical.
