The pattern for the Sox for quite a while now has been to stay around.500---they win a few, to get hopes up, then they lose a few. The net result is they stay at .500.
I would expect that to continue unless Beckett and Lester start to pitch consistently well, and win games.
The other starters are holding their own--though Cook needs to be replaced by Morales.
The other thing they need is to have Ellsbury and Crawford get on base and steal steal steal. That means more walks. Crawford can't throw, but he sure as hell can run.
Iggy, by the way, has been slumping in AAA. Remember Reddick? He sucked in Pawtucket. Some guys rise to the occasion. Iggy was screwed over pre-season, and it may have affected his motivation. Looked good in spring training.
