How many HRs have the Yankees hit so far this season? 7 of Posada's 10 hits have been HRs. ML HR leaders: 1.Yankees--71 2. Reds--54 8. Red Sox--46 Maybe the Yankees have upgraded their gatorade. -

I see Tito is back to his old one pitcher an inning habit-- keep changing pitchers until you find one the other team can hit. Managers do influence the outcome of games--usually by overmanaging. How many pitchers tonite? five? Almost half the staff.

LHP is killing them with that unbalanced lineup. Youks is the only RHd power bat. And that's not enough, Theo. You gave up two big RHd bats in the offseason. And Tito hasn't offset that some by using Ells and CC speed at the top of the lineup.

Still young at 25. Has pitched OK this year so far. Any decent lefty is gold in this division. -
Another note on Wake: Often overlooked is the need for a caddy for him deprived the Red Sox of developing a real successor to Tek over the years. A negative for Wakefield that has hurt the Red Sox.

I wonder if they would deal Liriano to the East. I doubt it. Besides, he's pitched well two games in a row.

I was surprised the Yankees didn't bring him up. Unless Hughes comes back big or they make a trade, they might have trouble making the playoffs with that rotation. The bulk of their early season games have been at home.

Millwood is more consistent than Lackey or Dice-K or Wake. Consistently mediocre.

They need two lefties in the bullpen. They can do without Atchison's 5+ era. Oki and Hill right now. Dubront looks like one of those injured all the time types.Andrew Miller needs to find the strike zone.

Salty is strictly a dice throw by the FO. Fact is, they have put in very little long range planning for Tek's successor. Part of the problem is Wakefield has needed a caddy for so long.
