Beckett im confident will, he is one of the types of pitchers that adjusts for what his team needs, if our bullpen is spent and needs rest beckett can go 8 or 9 innings, in otherwords the dude is a horse.
there is no doubt that his steals are a good thing but there is something to be said for how effective they are at different spots in the lineup, and if you can create more runs from the bottom of the lineup without taking away from run production at the front of the lineup then that is great. my only question is does his OBP (easily the most important stat for the leadoff spot) being taken out of the leadoff spot hurt the run production of the team as a whole more than it helps from a later spot in the lineup?
well hopefully Theo shows the cunning hes had in the past and manages to match his conservatism with Prospects with his ingineuity and with the balls to be aggressive enough to pull off some big deals.
It is but I seriously doubt we use the lineup consistently or on any sort of daily basis.
not to mention I belive it to be superior in Defense as well.
I dont think he shatters bonds' record but Pujols is kind of a bad comparison because he is in fact a beast my point is that it takes far more than roids to make that type of accomplishment. I know that without roids bonds probably doesnt touch the record but he was a HOFer without roids he wasnt a Marc McGuire who without roids was a 30HR K king for a few years.
furthermore, if you say the HRs didnt count then why did they still go up on the scoreboard? in my opinion you cant pick and choose where those HRs count.
steroids or not you cant diminish the accomplishment, If I did Roids I still wouldnt be able to hit 1 homerun in a major league park, if someone like Pujols started a heavy roid regiment I doubt he'd be able to beat Bonds' record.
you know Theo is still GM right? I dont see Theo being aggressive regarding Hanley, I do however see him grabbing a player like Hardy and being a bit more agressive for a decent pitcher like Harden.
you are comparing that string bean to Nolan Ryan?!?
just stupid...and I would blame the toss on more of a good move by Porcello than a bad move by Youk.
