  1. Well ill only be in Chicago for Boot Camp and maybe some schooling after that so i doubt ill get to spend too much time around the poor cubbies
  2. yeah my bad...:dunno:
  3. I havent been to a whole lot of MLB games (takes more $$$ than i ussually have) but when i was 4 years old i got to see Nolan Ryan pitch in his final season at some game in april for Texas and on TV id have to go with Clemens and Pedro in a close 2nd...
  4. hi all im a sox fan because of my father who around the age of 7 decided he liked the sox over his father's yanks but oddly enough they are all from TX Im 19 and going into the Navy in February and hope to get stationed on the USS Constitution in boston at some point...but anyways so far im enjoying it here and hope to contribute fairly well enough:thumbsup:
  5. If Bay goes to the evil empire I'll snap. There is no way that we can let go of someone who has become such a fenway favorite in less than a year, I mean he is the Anti-Manny, the perfect cure for the wound caused by the laid back, dread clad, egoridden, godly right-hander, leaving a wave of anger and dissapointment in the stands. Bay has been a blissfully underspoken player who runs to first on every hit instead of "Bay being Bay". In case you couldn't tell I'll be a bit dissapointed if we let Bay walk out of beantown, esspecially if he walks into Brooklyn.
  6. I'll stick to believing it was the evil Yankee's fan under the bridge. BTW I've been to New York and there are a bunch of Yankee's fans living under bridges (and in boxes) Just a joke btw so nobody wet your pants in anger I prefer to argue with beligerant Yankee's fans in person.
  7. TROT NIXON!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
  8. I agree that you want your leadoff hitter to be speedy guy but if you cant hit the tough pitches that the leadoff man is bound to get then it doesnt matter, which is why moving Ellsbury to the 9 hole is a great idea: he gets better pitches to hit and is still on base for the guys with the power which would include Drew batting next with some pop and then Papi, Bay, and Youk taking the 3-6 holes it makes perfect sense until Ellsbury sees some more pitches and can bring up that OBP to at least floating around .370. No one said Drew was a permanent fix but the guy is a versatile hitter he will get the job done anywhere in the line up oh btw im loving your signatur Dutchy
  9. if mauer ever moves to 1st or DH (preferably before he is on the downhill slide) I think he has a great chance of reaching the .400 mark, a few years ago I would have said Ichiro but he doesnt have QUITE the plate discipline to reach it. If mauer never gets a year at a position with less strain then we have to wait for a Pujols/Manny/Ichiro hybrid and that could be a lifetime, it is hard to say, we may very well not see a .400 hitter for another 25 years.
