  1. The dude that clocked in at like 103 at the WBC?
  2. actually Hardy's OBP this year is 25 points higher than Gonzo's this year so he is better in literally every facet of the game, and I imagine if he came to the sox where hed probably be batting 8th or 9th he would get better pitches and probably learn some plate discipline, of course that might only be enough to take off the edge that comes from moving from the NL to ALE but I still think it would make it possible to raise that OBP to .350 (assuming he gets his stroke back) and like its been stated before Hardy at his worst>Gonzo at his best, and Hardy is only 27.
  3. Hes having a bad season but he is still young and has potential to hit 25+ homeruns and when compared to Gonzo is similar but slightly better at OBP, so lets say they are even in the OBP department (im not using average for reasons mentioned previously in this thread) so you have gonzo who will give you 6HRs a season if you are lucky and career .650 OPS and a career .294 OBP, While Hardy offers you a career .751 OPS and .323 OBP and can offer you atleast 20 HRs, and even this year when he has "sucked" he has hit for a .300 OBP and a .657 OPS and 11 HRs (remember that he was sent to the minor leagues earlier this year so that number is a bit off) and you have Gonzo's 2009 season which he has hit for a .275 OBP and a .635 OPS, so what exactly is you peoples problem with Hardy? are you afraid he will be too expensive? well we are all talking about acquring him for MDC + a PTBNL which seems like a plenty reasonable price for a 27 yo SS who is good defensively and has potential to be an offensive force at the typically weak SS position. Career OPS and OBP: Gonzo: .650 OPS .294 OBP Hardy: .751 OPS .323 OBP 2009 season: Gonzo: .635 OPS .275 OBP 7 HRs Hardy: .657 OPS .300 OBP 11 HRs
  4. I think Id put Leyland over Gardenhire honestly.
  5. although Lester looks like more of a badass than him.
  6. You know, I saw him earlier and thought "Snead looks familiar...Who does he remind me of?" and that is it...good job dude, thats been bugging me for awhile.
  7. Its a shame too because Snead has Hellatious potential.
  8. I believe its "Hotty Totty Gosh Allmighty, Whens Ole Miss Gonna Beat Somebody?!?" The one for LSU is "Purple shirts, yellow breeches, go to hell you sons of bitches!!!"
  9. lol, Ole Miss is overated!!
  10. Spurrier knows how to blow some games, hes had some great teams that seriously underperformed.
  11. yup, now its what the students and fans affectionatly call their school, hell up until recently they flew rebel flags and sang dixie there. It's a good law school though.
  12. and that turnover is going to SC!
  13. Go to hell Ole Miss, Go To Hell!! Im with you bro, Im hopin the Gamecocks can show the nation just how overated Ole Miss really is.
  14. that might pose a problem. Its hard to catch a pony.
  15. Id definitely say Top 3 in the AL. And I will also say the best measure for any manager is success and Tito has had plenty of it and should recieve plenty more with the sox.
  16. and wouldnt that mean that if it came to it Lester and Clay would pitch 2 games rather than Lester and Beckett?
  17. I honestly think he can handle it and keep us in the game, and it wouldnt hurt to get him some playoff experience and a bit of pressure.
  18. honestly? its odd but that sounds like a smart idea Kilo, unfortunately I dont see the FO actually doing this, its just a little weird to have your ace starting game 3 but I think it puts as at an interesting advantage.
  19. he is exactly what you could ask for from a 4-5 starter, He gives your team a chance to win much of the time and doesnt tax the bullpen, unless we have better options I like him as our number 5 next year or our number 6 in case someone goes down, and he can man the long reliever positions while he waits.
  20. I just dont see the FO placing Lester as number 1 even if he is the best, that is unless something drastic happens with Beckett and his nasty Uncle Charlie.
