  1. I forgot about Vince Young too, overall a good list despite your lack of Favre :harhar: how about Breakout Player of the year? I nominate Miles Austin and Steve Smith (NYG) Bust of The Year? Roy Williams, Jay Cutler.
  2. also forgot Brian Cushing and Aaron Curry for the Rookies, lot of great players its hard to remember all of them. also LeSean McCoy, and the list keeps getting bigger. EDIT Jeremy Maclin, Johnny Knox, Kenny Britt, do I really need to keep throwing names out there? I did say that my list was imperfect. EDIT2 Austin Collie, Vontae Davis, Hakeem Nicks, I can keep on going, been alot of talented rookies this year.
  3. by the way I also forgot to mention Percy Harvin on my RoTY list, he would definitely beat Maybin.
  4. missed Carson Palmer and Im not sure how but like I mentioned earlier this list is off the top of my head and i missed alot of players Palmer definitely deserves being mentioned. as for the rookies im horribly uninformed on the issue and Im going off the little I've seen and he came to my head feel free to disagree he wasn't really near the top in my mind anyways so instead of scoffing why not try mentioning someone I didnt mention that you think deserves to be there.
  5. okay heres one that is rough for me to figure because im not good at rating OL but who would you say has been the best Olineman this season? or the best Offensive Line period? the one name that always comes to me is Saturday, you can see after him being down last year just how important he is to Manning and the Colts Offense but any other suggestions. We all know Flozell Adams isn't on the list lol.
  6. which is why I had Benson, and Williams above Favre, although I admit I did overlook OchoCinco, but once again you have overlooked Vernon Davis(nvm just read the bottom of your last post), granted he is at a less important position at TE but he still showed classic signs of a bust the past few years and has been one of the better TE's this year. But in the end I gave it to Williams no contest because he's been healthier than Benson this year but those 2 were the top players for this category IMO.
  7. Thats why he would be the 3-5th runner up, most people thought he was done last season and he came back to have a MVP caliber season, granted he is a first ballot HOFer but it was still somewhat of a come back season. And no love for Vernon Davis' season?
  8. you know I was thinking about that just a second ago but this list was done off the top of my head and tbh I completely forgot about Asomugha who is one of the best to ever play corner and deserves to be on the list every year so my bad on the brain fart, plus there are so many players that deserve to be mentioned its easy to forget the one that plays for the pitiful raiders lol. this list was made slightly easier by Urlacher and Polomalu (sp?) being out.
  9. getting a little bored watching NFL Live so I decided to start this my picks top 5 Players of the year. 1.Peyton Manning 2.Drew Brees 3.Chris Johnson 4.Phillip Rivers 5Brett Favre? (had a problem picking the last few spots) Comeback player of the year 1. Ricky Williams runners up: Brett Favre, Cedric Benson, Vernon Davis Defensive players of the year. 1.Darren Sharper 2.Jared Allen 3.Asante Samuel 4.Charles Woodson 5.Patrick Willis (aside from the first two I didn't try to put these in any paticular order runners-up: Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Al Harris Top 5 Rookies of the year (no real order on this one, Im too indecisive and haven't really payed enough attention) 1.Shonn Greene 2.Brian Orakpo 3.Knowshon Moreno 4.BJ Rajji 5.Aaron Maybin Coach of the Year Mike Singletary Runners-up: Josh McDaniels, Sean Peyton, Norv Turner. and any other awards you might like to create, hopefully this will create some stimulating football conversation.
  10. TBH, while his trade proposal was nuts he did nothing that warrants attack Emmz, if it is a joke account responsible for filling the forum with useless clutter then let the mods worry about it, and if that is the case he will be swiftly dealt with, but attacking him for that is a little harsh.
  11. That would be terrible for everyone except the Cards and Brewers, and blockbusters may happen but that is far too much, and all of the mentioned players aside from Miggy and Fielder are about as close to untouchable as you can get in the MLB.
  12. I don't know how down the O's would be with that, they have some decent pitching prospects, maybe not Buck caliber but I believe they have some that are close and I doubt they are willing to give up many of their prospects for a pitcher who has yet to have a succesful full season I don't see them being involved.
  13. That's true to a certain extent but I think Drew is starting to be hated a little less with his stellar (and healthy) 08 and 09 seasons, he may be no manny but he also isnt a cancer in the clubhouse, plus Manny is a first ballot HOFer and there are very few players who are a Manny and the Sox arent too worried about selling merchandise or tickets they have plenty of fans. And remember the more games you win the more money fans spend on tickets and merchandise so what Drew supposedly lacks in personality marketing he makes up for by helping to win games.
  14. Its nothing personal its just that your average fan apparently still pays more attention to RBIs than OBP and OPS, and the fans that do that miss JDs real value, plus he just doesnt have enough dirt on the pants or pine tar in the helmet or dip in the lip for many boston fans, maybe he should dive at some uncatchable balls out in RF to endear him, because his OPS and OBP and stellar defense including that cannon of an arm, just arent good enough.
  15. why? he was healthy last season, and really has played most of the year in most every year of his career. just a warning, back off JD.
  16. this thread has become very...silly.
  17. lol try champ, champ. anyways I think Tito will want to field his best lineup and in this scenario Ells doesnt make the cut, plus he lacks some of the ego of the more veteran players have so he wont mind as much (im sure hes not delighted about it though) coming off the bench until we can move him or start him.
  18. how about silly goose?
  19. meh, Id still like to see a bat, even if its Beltre and not AdGon.
  20. hey no one beats my boy John Rocker
  21. you know in '04 I never thought that Id one day wish for Tek to suffer a career ending injury, but at this point Id rather have almost anyone else than have to suffer through one of his ABs or see him throw a dribbling grounder to 2nd trying to throw out a runner...it makes me miserable.
  22. lol wut?
  23. I occaisionally have flashes of brilliance
