  1. yeah, sounds good to me, and I have no proof to backup what im about to say so this is just MHO but I think Cinci and Iowa are for real, or atleast pretty damn good, every game Cinci has played they have made some beautiful plays, I mean plays that can't be easily defended, they have been exceptional on both sides of the ball, I would love to see a TCU vs. Boise game I think it would be a very fun game to watch, and for a small conference school TCU does everything big (It's cause their in Texas) Their D plays big and their offens and running game in paticular play huge. God I love college football!
  2. Yeah I like that way too, but I think either way its a hell of a line up, would love to actually have Gonzo and Holliday (Bay is plenty good though)
  3. how does this sound then? I wasnt sure what to do with the 5 and 6 spots so maybe you can give me some insight to that, and the "?" are around players that are not on the team currently but have a possibility to be there. 1.Ellsbury CF 2.Pedroia 2B 3.Youkilis 3B 4.A. Gonzalez? 1B 5.Bay/Holliday? LF 6.Martinez C 7.Ortiz DH 8.Drew RF 9.Lowrie/the other Gonzo SS
  4. Ortiz can hit in the middle of the order if he can keep up his current level of production. Id put Youk in front of the other middle of the order bats at the 3 spot, his OBP will be a virtue there.
  5. Dipre I think you are forgetting that I have Internet Superiority, so you should probably just agree with everything I say, mmmkay?
  6. He is comparable in that he is a 1B with elite capabilities in defense and hitting which does compare with Tex, Youk, Gonzo, and Cabrera while you can easily tell he is the best, he is comparable, Just as Melky and Ells are comparable with Ells being obviously better.
  7. He is a better hitter but the only stat where he is signifigantly better is OBP which is an important stat but its close enought to be comparable. Its the same as Tex, Youk, and Pujols all being comparable, Pujols has the obvious edge but they are still comparabli IMO.
  8. well I guess its a little late to welcome you but welcome anyways. Oh and im very sorry that you live in Detroit.
  9. A. I know about the park factors but if you can get a player that can get the job done in your park then why not do it the Yankees now know that they have a great hitters park and if that makes their hitters better then they should use that to their advantage. anyways, all Im saying is that they were comparable HITTING wise with Ells having the obvious edge but not a huge edge. B. I was referring to hitting outside of HITTING Ells is a far better and more complete player and most people, with all things being even, would easily take Ells over Melky, but they are comparable, and Dojji I did mention that Ells' OBP was signifigantly higher, and to add on to that fact it was higher in a position in the lineup that is harder to hit in (1st). Having said all of that Melky is by no means a bad player and if he ever learns a little more plate discipline and hit around .290 he could be much better being that his OBP right now is pretty signifigantly higher than his Avg.
  10. maybe, I haven't watched the Yanks enough to really give any good analysis, everytime I've seen him he plays pretty well. Ellsbury: .301 AVG .355 OBP .415 SLG% .770 OPS 8HRs 70SBs Melky: .274 AVG .336 OBP .416 SLG% .752 OPS 13HRs 10SBs Ellsbury only has a sligh edge in hitting, with his most signifigant being OBP in which he is 19 points higher so yes ells is better there than Melky but not enough for him to be much more of a threat at the plate, however Ells has a signifigant advantage after he gets on, but if we are just talking about a threat in the lineup both are very similar (until, as previously stated, Ells gets on base)
  11. I like Ells better but they matchup pretty evenly, and Ellsbury can kick ass at checkers.
  12. hey hey hey I just said I THINK thats where HE is coming from right, wrong, or indifferent I was just saying, you very often sound very critical of the FO, I happen to disagree with many of those opinions but I don't mind them because they are afterall opinions but I was just trying to lay down some insight to where I THINK he is coming from with his comments.
  13. i was referring to the yankees offseason last year, there isnt a texeria(f*** spelling his name right), CC, AND a Burnett out there even if we wanted to spend for em. but Im not worried about it, Id be just fine with Lackey and Holliday, hell Id be fine with Lackey, resigning Bay.
  14. when you make repeated remarks that paint the FO very negatively you earn a reputation I think thats where this is coming from.
  15. although the FA market this year kinda blows.
  16. if we spent more than the Padres entire payroll in the FA this offseason im sure we could be above .500 on the road too.
  17. we should have traded them Paul Byrd and John Smoltz, that would have got the deal done, they were "MLB ready" talent (I ust the term "talent" loosely) lol.
  18. lol you see youk say either godamnit or f*** everytime he doesnt get on base.
  19. Im terribly offended...that their is paint in that picture.
  20. Carlos Zambrono? (dunno just taking a wild guess) and...you got me, but those two (who happened to emerge in the Theo reign) are too bland
  21. we prefer consumate professionals that doesnt mean no emotion, what's wrong with Papi's personality? or JD Drew's personality? or Jason Bay's Personality? and since when have Pedroia and Becketts personalities been "bland"? and who the f*** cares? they are here to play baseball not to go to your sunday afternoon quilting class.
  22. that was my reason for the lol, I'd still like Lackey though, but im with you out of all the players listed I would take Harden over all of them, including the beloved Pedro.
