Joba usually gives the other team a chance. He allows a lot of baserunners and usually doesn't get very deep in games. The Yankees pen is pretty thin after yesterday.

According to Gameday he threw 4 4-seem fastballs in that at bat.

Whenever I think of 1-0 games I think about that Schilling game against the Athletics 2 years ago in which he carried a no-hitter into the ninth inning. He was a strike away and he shook off Varitek and gave up his only hit of the game.

Well I know we're pissed at our offense, but Lester did a hell of a job. If we just got a so-so or good start, we'd be in quite a bit of trouble right now. His ERA's down to 3.87 on the year now (1.48 in his last 8 starts).
