    13th home run for Varitek. He is having one hell of a year.

    He's not as DOMINANT, JUST DOMINANT as AJ Burnett, he hasn't won 19 games in back-to-back years like Chien-Ming Wang, and he doesn't have 4 "plus" pitches like Joba.

    Back-to-back-to-back-to-back K's for Smoltz. I think he pitches better when he can't feel his arm.

    No problem. I don't feel too bad about stealing the games because I used to pay for MLB.tv and every year the service got worse and worse to the point where you couldn't even watch the games anymore. They advertise all these great new features, but they don't add any servers to help the streaming keep up with the new demand. Then when you call and complain you're paying $100 a year to watch baseball games and the streams are unwatchable, they basically tell you, "stuff happens. When there's a lot of traffic on the site the games slow down."

    Back-to-back-to-back K's for Smoltz. Pretty good for a guy who's arm is hanging on by a thread.

    They were pretty scarce yesterday once the Red Sox won as well. The amount of posts they make is directly related to how well their team does. Yankees win 13 out of 15th and they're signing on multiple times a day to post. Yankees lose 2 games and they're hardly logging on at all.

    Youk was even nice enough to hit the ball into the back of a pickup truck so as to not break any windows. Last weekend when I was at Fenway, I was walking out of the park and there was a bunch of Fenway Park guys vacuuming pieces of glass out of the back seat of a car with a missing window.

    It's probably streamed from China or Korea. They can't get in trouble for breaking US copyright laws there.

    Don't know, I just found it today. It's by far the nicest stream I've ever had though. It streams nicer than actual MLB.tv which I stopped paying for because it would always s*** the bed.

    Wow, Angels winning big. They're up 14 to 8 in the bottom of the 8th now.

    Bay grounded into a potential double play, Tony Pena Jr throw it away and Youkilis scored, Ortiz went to third. Then Ellsbury flew out and Jose Guillen thought it was the third out so he didn't make a throw right away and Ortiz scored on a sac fly. Now Bay took off for second and the throw was air mailed, he's on third.

    Alright first inning from Smoltz. Nothing to write home about.

    Yeah, you're right. V-Mart does lose a lot of his value if he's no longer catching and perhaps he isn't the best fit with Kottaras as Wakefield's personal catcher. I think he looked like a much better option at the beginning of the year when he was hitting well and our catching looked like a weak spot. But Varitek's had a comeback year (.821 OPS compared to V-Mart's .865) and our catching prospects have done well this year.
