  1. I guess there is some justice in the baseball world.
  2. I don't like fake tits.
  3. I wouldn't say Bay's D is horrible. Just "not good". All in all, he is a serviceable left fielder. I don't think he is a big liability defensively.
  4. He'll most likely play at Fenway once in 2010. In the Futures At Fenway game. The KID has not played a single minor league game. Like Coco says, he'll start in A ball. He needs to learn how to hit! Playing MLB would serve no constructive purpose and it would delay his development.
  5. Umm... It defiantly would come down to what the price tag would be. Anderson? Sure. But three others? No thanks. If the Sox are inclined to trade for a "High upside" pitcher, I'd prefer the buy-in be a little lower. Kelly and Westmorland should be coveted. To be used as chips ONLY in trades for someone like Adrien Gonzalez. Nothing less. Otherwise, I'd like to see Johnson in Fenway.
  6. Thanks Gom. Coming from you, I'll take that as a compliment.
  7. Vital input from the sharpest knife in the drawer!
  8. On another note, Boston College and U.Mass are both a mess. Terrible. Just terrible. I only care becuase they are both local teams with national notoriety. Plus, I have followed U.Mass since the Julius Erving (and Al Skinner!) days. I follow B.C. basketball because I have had several friends play there, I like Al Skinner, and my Father was a professor there. Who will be the National Champion?
  9. I don't follow college football. But I'm watching Boise State demolish Utah State. Does Boise play many big program teams?
  10. I have a plan! Slip Billy Bean a Ruffie and stage pictures of him in bed with a couple of Transvestites. Blackmail him into trading Curt Suzuki for some low level prospects. Move V-Mart to 1st, Youk to 3rd. Simple.
  11. Just a joke directed at a700. Josephson was a catcher for the Sox in the '70s.
  12. Duane Josephson?
  13. I think the Yankees won because they had superior game management.
  14. Lol.
  15. Not to stir the pot here, but....more from the same article: 4. Holliday, LF, free agent - One of the most interesting things Boras said at the GM meetings was that he felt Holliday’s early-season difficulties with the A’s were due in large part to altering his swing in the offseason. His offseason hitting coach was Mark McGwire, who has been hired by the Cardinals. Some had thought that might be incentive for Holliday to stay in St. Louis, but maybe not after Boras’s comment. Those who watched Holliday in St. Louis were amazed by his strength and the fact that he could consistently hit balls into the upper deck in left field at Busch Stadium, which is something Albert Pujols did far less. Asked how many homers Holliday would hit at Fenway, a Cardinal official said, “Forty, easy.’’ An AL talent evaluator said Holliday was most vulnerable against a high, tight fastball at 94 miles per hour and faster. Who isn’t? This would be consistent with what Dipre had said many, many pages of s*** ago on another thread
  16. I found this in Cafardo's article in the Globe Today. 8. Mike Lowell, 3B, Red Sox - There could be a late-developing market for Lowell if teams are convinced that his hip will improve enough to help his range. Lowell believes that will happen, based on conversations with doctors who told him he could concentrate on strengthening the labrum rather than just rehabbing it, as he did last offseason. The Sox would entertain dealing him only if they land Gonzalez and move Kevin Youkilis to third. At least three teams - the Phillies, Cardinals, and Giants - need a third baseman. Sabean helped sign Lowell for the Yankees years ago; the Phillies tried to sign him in free agency. The final $13 million on his contract could be an issue for the Cardinals.
  17. I agree with this.
  18. I'm not up to speed on the NBA salary structure either. Objectively, I hope he stays in Cleveland. That city needs a marquee player of some kind. He grew up in Ohio and is probably pretty happy there, I would think. The talk is New York Knicks. Boston fans want the Celts to snag him. Anywhere but L.A. Lakers, please!
  19. Don't waist your breath Dojji. This guy does not have the intellect to understand what you say.
  20. Not exactly how I would have phrased it. But yeah.
  21. Possibly.
  22. And now?
