  1. Sorry. I misread your post. No need for me to chill. I just need sleep! Hanley back to the Sox won't happen. And Dipre actually knows the guy. Keep keeping on. Peace. Spud.
  2. Um, yeah. Lol.
  3. ????? How about actually trying to contribute to the thread? I am confident that you can do it.
  4. What? No details? DR quif. Presitante. Blacked-out Hummers with 20" chrome wheels. f***. We have that in sparrow fart Massachusetts.
  5. Really? I agree that he has, for the most part, put up good to very good offensive numbers (protracted slumps included). But Monster Numbers should be set aside to describe players such as Pulhous. And I don't care what Theo said on WEEI. $14 mil/yr. at the time, was too much. Why? Ask Urbon.
  6. Objectivity in your post. I like it. Hey Jacko. Please tell Jeter his GG and SS are now secure.
  7. I like Crosby. Not that I am adverse to anyone that can help.
  8. As much as I don't want another fat slob starting pitcher (this one with a horse face as well) I'm all for Lackey in a Sox Uni in 2010 and beyond. Get 'er done Theo. And Bay/Holliday. And Adrien Gonzalez. Thank you Santa.
  9. O.K. This is serious stuff. Put aside the Sox need for a LF and another big bat. Starting pitching. Pssssh. Bullpen replenishment? Not to worry. Let's get down to the real nitty-gritty. The all important back-up infielder. For purposes of discussion, let's define that as someone that can play a possition other than 1st base. Remember, the Sox have that covered for now with Kotchman. Who would you like to play 3rd, SS, or2nd in a reserve role? Feel free to post any and all stats and relevant data. Or not. Opinions are allways welcome on Spudboy threads. My opinion? Easy. Nick Green. Please don't throw tomatoes at me. Justification? Nothing really tangible. Except that he has shown that he can play short, 2nd, and third (I think). He can hit well enough in a reserve slot to justify a roster spot. Also, He can (cough, cough), pitch. He is comfortable playing in Boston too. I mean, he is tappin (pun intended) Heidi after all. This all is contingent on the reports that the Sox have secured Marco Scutaro as the new shortstop.
  10. "They Came To Boston". Someone up-thread posted a link that Scutaro signed for 2/18. Go Bosstones!!!!!
  11. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Oye. Let's see. Nomar gone. O Cab, Reese, and Gonzo serve the purpose (at the very least defensively). Yet Boy wonder signs Rent-A Reck, Lugo, and now Scutaro for AAV of $9. mil.? If it were not such an an example of tragic failure, it would be (as my Dominican attorney might say) "Hilarious". Just pissah.
  12. I guess you did. P.S. Please don't say Jew again unless it is something that is clearly benign or positive.
  13. Boo.
  14.
  15.:lol: Get back to painting the house!
  16. You Sir, are not alone.
  17. *Rapidly raises hand* 2/18 is just the same as Lugo plus another year. For a league average utility guy. Wonderful.
  18. Ochin Kousna! (that's very tasty in transliterated Russian).
  19. Sus 34 anos. f***ing wonderful. More suck. With my limited Spanish I , I believe terms of the contract were not disclosed. Where's my Dominican Lawyer. I want details.
