  1. Hey Gom, what is the purpose of your last two posts?
  2. The first paragraph makes a lot of sense and, in fact, saves me some time. I won't have to point out the obvious. However, the post you made earlier today did not in anyway convey what you have said here. Yes, you made reference to an obvious flaw in Ellsbury's game. Nothing new there. We should all be able to see he is not the greatest defensive outfielder - yet. No, your earlier post seemed to serve no purpose other than do denigrate a Sox player that was being acknowledged for perceived superior effort. This , I believe, was an unnecessary comment. And, quite honestly, beneath someone who apparently knows so much about the game. I have no problem with your Yankee "Bias". In fact, I embrace it. I loud anyone who has passion for the game. Especially people who seem to know more than I do about the game. But therein lies the rub. With respect, comes responsibility. Your post about Ellsbury followed by your response to criticism to your assessment of the Johnson signing is inconsistent with your substantial knowledge of the game and apparent intellect. Hence, my disappointment. As far as your dispute with ORS goes, well, I just wish maturity would prevail.
  3. My point is very basic. I'm sorry it soared over your head. I merely pointed out the bias and inequity of dumping on a Sox player receiving an award and almost within the same breath claiming foul when a Sox fan does the same about something the Yankee fans feel good about. Any adult, for that matter, anyone over 6 years old, can see the hipocracy and bias here. As well, Yankee fans are afforded the same latitude as Sox fans on Talksox. Everyone can be a troll or flamer and get away with it to some extent. You should know this. You are involved with some of it too. As far as banning ORS is concerned, well, I would say 5-6 of the regular posting members should be banned if his alleged infraction warrants a ban. This would include some Yankee fans, obviously.
  4. A good thing happened today from a yankee perspective, and most of the yankee fans here like it. No need to be a dick and rain on the parade. How is this any different than you raining on the Sox fans parade when it was anounced that Ellsbury won award today? I mean, the pendulum has clearly swung in the Yankees favor with this stunning 1yr/5.5 mil accusation of a gimp dh. Oh, Yankee's forum or not, this remains a Sox board, I believe.
  5. I just jizzed in my pants.
  6. wut:blink:
  7. So what of Damon's wheels?
  8. Lol. I'm going to assume you are not trying to stir s*** up here. Both of them have the potential (it would seem) to become very effective, even dominant pitchers in the future. Buck has shown recently that he is getting his s*** together. And, from what I have seen, may be further along towards becoming what he can be than Joba. But I have not seen as much of Joba as I have seen Buck. I like power pitchers. So I like what I think what Joba may become. Buck has an assortment of plus pitches and may be more of a Pedro type. I did not understand the "Joba Rules". What was that about? I think that both are young and immature. They both appear to need to be able to maintain focus. I see this as the limiting factor in their ability to develop. I suspect Buck will have more success in 2010 because I have seen him pitch more than I have seen Joba. But I would not discount Joba's ability to become a major contributor in the Yankee's rotation, either. I'm interested in Houghs.
  9. Hey Gom. Clearly you know far more about the Yankees than I do. And you probably have seen far more of Johnson than I have. That said, maybe the Yankees see Johnson as a better long term investment than Matsui? He was only able to get one year out of the Angles. How many years will the Yankees be willing to commit to Johnson? Salary reduction claims aside, can't they just sign Sheets anyway?
  10. This is a rational assumption. However, would this combo exceed the performance of Bay and VMart? Nope. And that is why the team would seem weaker offensively.
  11. No one pulled anything out of their asses here. While there have been no concrete reports of such a trade being in the works, the Boston media has been discussing it for several weeks. All of it being speculation, of course. It is the Hot Stove Season, isn't it? The Sox certainly have the resources to make such a move. I'm not so sure they want a boozing tub of goo, even if he is a prodigious offensive talent.
  12. I wish him luck. I always kinda liked the guy. Too bad his knees are s***.
  13. I think I saw Lackey's wife on Guess Her Muff. Landing strip.
  14. Oh really? Have you been too busy in the ER to notice ORS/A700? E1/A700? Get real.
  15. Another good post. Lol. TS members blow loads while posting stats of Sox prospects. I find it interesting that Kotchman's numbers and "pedigree" are dismissed so easily.
  16. Anyone stupid enough to offer 6/120 to Beckett deserves to have him. I'm in agreement with Dipre here. 5/87ish gets it done for the Sox. 20/yr. Lol.
  17. Really? No ass. Not flotation devices. 3.5 out of 10. At least Jeter did Carey. Christ. Nick Green did Heidi.
  18. Lol. Bad? We choose to use mediocre here at Talksox.
  19. So this supports your assertion that it could be one of the better divisions? How?
