  1. Did he play 3rd base at Pawtucket? Why yes Spud, he did pay for the Sox in Pawtucket. The s*** I remember.
  2. Did he play 3rd base at Pawtucket?
  3. I am not sure. I was only there once in February 2011 with UN. I am pretty sure they dont allow you to watch the game from there but as I said I am not sure. I do believe that it is open during games but only accessible via a door on Lansdowne St.
  4. The Red Sox are winning. I can see why you are pissed.
  5. Nope. Management saw that 22 mil option looming and wanted to make it go away. Your assumption has little basis in known facts.
  6. You did not imply racism at all.
  7. That bar behind the grate in the cf wall is actually quite good. Good selection of beers and good drinks and food. Expensive too.
  8. Is Tang still available? It was the rage when the space program was big in the 60s.
  9. Lol. With an enlarged prostrate and 40 mg of Furosemide very morning I piss every 30 minutes all day. I watch every game but I do miss some plays!
  10. True, but height is not synonymous with talent.
  11. Nothing good comes from walking the lead-off batter. Oye.
  12. If I had to make a decision on Boggy right now I would not pay him 20-25 mil on a multi-year deal. That is obcene. I'm generally satisfied with what I have seen him do. And I remember the schlock that was throw out there after Nomar. But this guy seems to have a pattern of spectacular beginnings of seasons and then tapers off. I could be wrong. Lets see him put up back to back healthy and productive seasons. If he rakes, then pay him. I guess. I don't buy into this value scale people have for WAR. No way a player of that quality and performance is worth 20 mil.
  13. Did Cora say that? In any case the Sox are not good at this type of thing. And I am never shocked when they tarnish an employee on the way out of town. I am surprised at Cora if he said that. I heard that he said something to the effect that Hanley would not be happy at sitting but I did not hear him say that he expected Hanley would be a problem. Oh well. Onward.
  14. Nip it in the bud I guess.
  15. I hope this is a case of being very cautious.
  16. Post of the day so far. Lol.
  17. You should get a job at the White House. You consistently say the wrong thing.
  18. Don't you mean flies?
  19. I agree. It was just a roster move. No need to make a big production out of it. Issue a press release and get back to work.
  20. I don't understand why all of this is being discussed at such length. The Sox took advantage of a fortunate coincidence with Hanley's slump and Pedroia's return happening at the same time and unloaded a player who was drastically under performing to his bloated contract. What they did was solid business. Regardless of what anyone here says, the Sox will be off the hook for $37.+ mil as long as they can release him. I do think that the way they explained why they DFA'd him was pretty stupid. Both DD and Cora look like idiots for trying to sell their rationale. Whatever.
  21. Section 10 is almost entirely about the Sox and is very funny and insightful. Of course Jared is a friend of mine so I am kind of biased. His other "show" Starting Nine is hysterically funny.
