  1. I think Talksox should implement a tariff on Oregonians.
  2. Burn. Or Boom. Or not.
  3. Nah. He does not have everyone on ignore. That would make it impossible for him to stick his beak in and prove how smart he is and how dumb everyone else is.
  4. It is my understanding that IF he is given a release that the Sox are on the hook for only the remainder of his 2018 salary and the 22 mil for 2019 dies with his contract as soon as he signs elsewhere for the prorated portion of his current pay. But thanks again for reminding me how much smarter and knowledgeable you are.
  5. Soon as he clears waivers he will sign somewhere.
  6. I have posted this before but here it is again since we now have a Kelly thread. Kelly is a f***ing wild man. If you have any interest in him at all this is interesting. https://www.barstoolsports.com/boston/section-10-podcast-episode-167-joe-kelly-aka-jim-buchanan-comes-to-barstool-hq/ "On Episode 167 of the Section 10 Podcast, we’ve got a very special guest. It’s been three years in the making, but the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the show, Mr. Joe Kelly AKA Jim Buchanan. We start the interview off with Kelly explaining why he changed his mind about coming on Section 10 since he originally said he wouldn’t do it unless the Red Sox won the World Series, the day he got traded to the Red Sox, a behind the curtain look at his strikeout in the 8th inning against Jurickson Profar with the bases loaded in Texas, what he remembers from facing the Red Sox in the 2013 World Series, the story behind the National Anthem standoff before Game 6 of the 2013 NLCS, what percentage of what he says to the media is ********, behind the scenes of Jim Buchanan, whether or not he’d ever be Wally for a day, watching the Red Sox from the bleachers while he was suspended, his charitable causes, the Tyler Austin-Yankees brawl, how he went to his own suspension hearing, if he expects retaliation in this Red Sox-Yankees series, how he’ll react to getting booed at Yankee Stadium, if and when he starts to check the standings, what the vibe is like with this team compared to the previous Red Sox teams he’s been on, worst shower body on the team, whether he would ever get into podcasting as an active player, whether or not he’d ever fight at Rough N Rowdy, a staring contest with Coley, and what Red Sox fans should know about this team."
  7. Lol. I have yet to rant about it. If you tell me that you saw something that others had not seen I would accept your words because I trust you. People make mistakes. I may be in error. Then again whoever posted game data about Eckstein may have made an error that BBR did not catch. People on this board are quick to question the validity or accuracy of what is said by others. I understand that. If I had posted that David Ortiz had a .460 OBP and someone corrected me I would understand. I was there that day. I saw Eckstein at 3rd about 70 feet from where I was sitting. There are reasons that I am sure of what I saw. You and anyone else are free to believe what you wish. You are welcome to be wrong as well.
  8. Hmm. Defensively, yes. I am of the opinion that Leon is the Sox best defensive catcher. I am confident that others here will immediately post data to disprove the accuracy of my opinion. I think Swihart has a better "hit tool" than Leon but he has not had much of an opportunity to demonstrate this in recent years. I still believe that Swi will be dealt.
  9. Most likely they were planing for the DFA all along. As I have said, this was a convenient time to let him go. Who knows what would have happened if he had continued to be hot? The batting order position seems to have nothing to do with when he was going to be DFA. It is what it is. The Sox did what they should have done. Although the timing and the way they rationalized it are peculiar. Why do we continue to even talk about it?
  10. Yeah they have done a bunch of piss jug stuff. I like the episode where Bubbles is preparing his yard for Steve Rogers to come over and highlight his new kitty baby sitting service. Ray or Ricky is throwing gallon piss jugs up into a tree. That s*** is gold.
  11. I hope that you have a wonderful time at these games. I like the idea of you sitting there with all of your Astro fan buddies. It will be a joyous occasion when the Sox prevail.
  12. Exactly. Why this is difficult to understand is beyond me.
  13. Your trivia is faulty. I saw him play IN PERSON AT McCOY. He was most definitely playing 3rd base. But keep bringing your sabre bbr data to bear in attempts to have the biggest weeny here. I am so happy to know that my eyes have been failing me for so long.
  14. I do agree with you on this. None of know what is really happening behind the scenes. Hanley could have been diddling Henry's trophy twat wife for all we know. MY POINT is that the 22 mil option was THE REASON he was set free. Lol. set free. Odd choice of words.
  15. I don't know s*** about this guy but no way in hell Danny trades up for a Great White Dope. Porzingous was an anomaly. Most of these types don't pan out. What was that guy for the sixers? Shawn Bradley? Oh yeah. He was f***ing great. This guy is not ready for a diet of NBA now. At least from what J_E says and I trust he knows what he is talking about. Guys like this can be had in the second round. Let the bottom feeders like the sixers toil with schlock like this guy. The chances are that this guy is more Hank Finkle and Tom Boerwinkle than Lew Alcindor or Anthony Davis. Nope, I don't get excited about this s***. Danny is f***ing with other teams and their nitwit execs.
  16. Lol. Piss jugs as they are called on Trailer Park Boys.
  17. He looked like Blake.
  18. One of his hits was a check swing that went 45 feet down the left foul line and remained fair. With his speed it was a no doubter. He got eaten up once on a hard shot down the line that hit the bag. Other than that nothing notable.
  19. They should put two guys out on Lansdowne Street.
  20. Soxhop comes up with some goodies.
  21. Hmm. I did not hear this remark but as a boy I did not have a color tv. I watched all the Sox games on an old GE 17" black and white with a UHF converter so I could get TV 38. Every time I walk up a ramp into the stands at Fenway I am impressed with all of the green. Maybe because I was used to seeing it all in black and white. Lol.
  22. Classic Sox memories. Thanks for the images you brought to mind.
