  1. I too am pleased with 5-5 on a west coats swing. But I do not believe that merely back at home will awaken the bats. Why this team is not hitting is a mystery to me. I do think that they have too much talent for this to continue.
  2. They need you to hop a flight to Boston with a box full of B-12 syringes ASAP. That should fix them.
  3. I have never understood how that franchise operates.
  4. I think Wright has done well today. Especially considering who replaced as #5. Of course he could come out now and puke up some runs. You never know with knuckleballers. I meant Username?, VA, and myself. But then a700 came on as I posted. Otherwise I would have said 4. Not that I have anything against Thunder. Other than being a twerp.
  5. Three of Talksox's elite members on board at this moment!!!
  6. Out of respect for you more than Papi I will gladly try to refrain from calling him that in the future. And I certainly don't want to be compared to Fred.
  7. Interesting to me that with Poopie's day off Holt takes his place. So to speak. Hanley to DH but otherwise Holt is the "new" guy in the lineup. I know that this will not happen for several reasons. However, for shits n' giggles I would like to see a Sox outfield of Betts in left, Bradley in center, and Victorino in right. This would be a very fun outfield defense to watch. Disregard offensive requirements just for a moment. Imagine the speed and glove work those three would bring each night? I want Bradley's arm in center for this exercise. That only makes sense in my way of thinking. So move Betts to left where he will get the lay of the land quickly and keep Victorino in right where he excells. As I said, this all will never happen. Regardless, I think it's fun to consider things like this. They don't have to be right or wrong. They just have to be interesting or fun to think about.
  8. So in one week he has fixed things? He says that he has done very little. Guess that's a Godsend.
  9. Can't waste this offensive display tonight!!!!! I'm off to bed. GO SOX!!!!1!!!!
  10. Not scoring runs cost that game. Farrell's brain fart is one isolated indecent within the game. The Sox all but non-existant offense was in effect all night. That is why they did not have enough runs at the end of nine to win.
  11. MY friend Eric Wedge is available.
  12. That it was. Farrell explained his reasoning and then conceded that he had made a mistake. What a shame that Buch threw a gem and got almost no offensive support. I refuse to say that Buch has it all figured out. He has looked much better of late but I have that nagging feeling that he will revert to his lousy form soon enough. This is why I am so frustrated with the guy. He throws a couple of strong and even dominant outings and then goes back to sucking. I hope that he can pitch well going forward. That would be unexpected and really great.
  13. Well said. That's telling them!!!!! And no one has mentioned Coyle, either.
  14. Not at this point, anyway. Not much has panned out.
  15. It's really too bad about Brentz. That kid will hit for power in the bigs somehwere. cp176 How are you following the Pawtucket games? Can you get a live radio feed somehow?
  16. Hmm. Could be a lot of money for someone who is 28 and has no MLB position anytime soon. Trade chip??? Still a lot of money. Sox have org depth at 2nd.
  17. Not really. But do you believe that the Sox pitching has now turned some corner? I certainly don't. Back to back decent starts means almost nothing. The rotation must prove to be consistently okay to good. Assign any WAR you wish. What we have is approximately what a700 said. A heaping pile of steaming s***. There is no sugar coating it with speculation. They are not that talented.
  18. I did not expect Nap to flounder. I hope that he snaps out of it soon. And let's not forget Big Poopie. He is not exactly on a tear either. He needs to amp up his game. Sox just need a lot more production from their "core" players.
  19. A win streak is born. Another close one but another win. Cool.
  20. Sensational play by Vic!
  21. Yup, I agree. But the FO built this rotation on "IFs". Don't hold you breath.
  22. Sox have something going. Pardon me for channeling Ken Coleman. If you even know who he was.
  23. I vote Star Trek. Of course I watched the first run of the first year of TV shows and loved it then. I think the series where they had the broad as Captain of the ship was a dud but the rest of the shows were very creative and dealt with social issues and the human condition. Star wars was a too cartoonish to begin with.
