  1. Great. But that article does not give pertinent dates that would indicate when initial discussion of moving Donaldson was. I still don't know IF or WHEN the Sox may have known. Maybe they never knew until it was a done deal? Then the question would be why the Sox did not call Beane and ask about Donaldson while scoping the terrain for a 3rd baseman. In any case Toronto made a good deal for a player the Sox could use very much and who they could easily afford to get.
  2. Mojo is just our superstition. It adds fun to the interaction here. It's tradition. Therefore everyone should keep up with it and follow the rules. This is my opinion only, of course.
  3. How is this so? None of us know the timing and other details of that deal. I find it strange that Ben did not know that Donaldson was going to be dealt. Especially since Beane has a track record of working with and dealing with the Sox. I think someone f***ed up.
  4. This is all on Ben. He built this team.
  5. I think that Pedrioa and Bogey have been good. Nap has been solid at 1st. He just does not hit enough. Sandoval blows goats.
  6. Probably another waste of money. I was against his signing. He belongs in Portland now. He needs to have better game skills and knowledge to play MLB. If he were a phenom he would be playing like one. Now he is just playing like an over paid 27-28 year old rookie. Which he is.
  7. I see and I agree. Maybe the Sox are planning on moving JBJ and don't want to decrease his value if he comes back up and flails again? I would like to see a big house cleaning. f*** it.
  8. It is a little odd to hear you advocate for JBJ but you make sense. I have stated that DeAza has been sort of a pleasant surprise but if we accept that the season is toast then there is absolutely no reason not to bring JBJ back up instead of signing another LHH OF. Only makes sense to me. But than I do not have Ben's pedigree!!!
  9. Not only is my satellite still out but now the gaf feed I was using on line is not showing the game any longer. I can watch a bunch of other games!!! WTF!! One of you guys gave us all a url for on line games. If so, can you post it again please? I'm missing all the fun!!!!1:rolleyes:
  10. He did look awful last year. But he has hit very well almost all of his time in MiLB. There is as much reason to expect him to hit MLB pitching as not. I won't say anything more on the matter because we have all talked about this many, many times. You think he sucks, I don't.
  11. Since Castillo has shown very little on both sides of the ball and has botched some plays I say send him down to refine his skills and make Bradley an everyday player for a long stint. Otherwise we may never know definitively if he can hit in MLB or not. Sitting on the bench will not answer the question. I would not just trade Bradley to just trade him. I think that he has value.
  12. I heard that Donaldson and Bean went at it at the ballpark. So that seems to indicate that it happened during the season. If so, I would assume that Ben knew what Toronto knew before Donaldson was traded. We have no way of knowing the exact timing. But if Ben DID know that Donaldson was available while in pursuit of Sandoval then he is one dumb ass motherf***er. That is just very bad business. Who knows, though.
  13. Farrell did have a good point. No way the runner could touch the bag.
  14. Let's see if ERod can limit the damage here.
  15. WAR or no WAR the guys is an average type 3rd baseman. I can see paying him what he was getting in SF and maybe $10.-$12 mil. but the Sox decided to spend more money than they had to to get a decent 3rd baseman. He has not put up good numbers at all. The last six games are decent but where have all his XBH gone and why does he make so many errors and blunders? The Sox f***ed up. Plain and simple.
  16. That is no consolation at all. This team needs quality performers now.
  17. Not surprised. Just awful.
  18. At least Hanley kept that ball in front of him.
  19. Not that the last play was anything great. I am so much more relaxed and confident when a ball is hit to Bogaerts. He really has become much better at every phase of his position. In a season of comprehensive suck, his development has been a delight to see. Last year I said that I had not seen what scouts and evaluators had seen in him. I can not say that anymore. Next year he will be a monster and possibly move toward becoming the best Sox SS ever. Sorry Nomar.
  20. Hahahahahaha!11
  21. lol Can't remember seeing consecutive bunt attempts with no one on base.
  22. That's how it's done Panda.
