  1. I never thought that he was a good idea. No, I did not believe that he would be a significant upgrade and he has not been. He has remained healthy and that is about it. He will most certainly NOT become a better fielder as he get older. Especially with all that fat he carts around. To believe so is to deny logic and physiology. He may become closer to what his career numbers have been. Big f***ing deal. He does not hit for power and worse he does not hit for XBH which is very hard to do in Fenway if you can make contact at a decent rate. He almost never walks. I just do not see any value in continuing this mistake for 4 more years. Maybe you do but that does not make it a good choice for this team. I have my opinion and I will continue to state it. Although I don't want to start sounding like Fred. It seems that most of the time Fat Boy screws up it is just ignored and accepted as okay because he is an "upgrade from Middlebrooks". Since I watch all the games and I am on most GTs I see no reason not to be allowed to call his poor play out when it happens. The real problem is that he f***s up at least once in each game. Naturally you will become bored by my comments.
  2. So this is justification for signing the pig?
  3. Thankfully you see this too. For some reason it is treason to believe that this guy is just wrong for this team. I say trade the fat f*** and eat about 6-7 mil. per year of his deal. He will always suck on this team. There is no way to disguise it.
  4. Another bonehead play by Fatboy. Hold did a great job to prevent the ball from going into the outfield. Fortunately the umps got it right in review. It seems to me that Fatboy makes a blunder in most games. But he is an upgrade!!!!!!!!!
  5. Swihard having a very tough day. I don't envy him.
  6. Oh Fatboy. Tough play but I suspect that a normal athlete could have stopped that.
  7. Tell us something we don't know!!!
  8. Not only was it supremely stupid but Ortiz could have been hurt going into home. Just crazy stupid and dangerous.
  9. Nice call sending Ortiz.
  10. There is the Cespedes that I love!
  11. f*** Cespedes. Such is the knuckleball experience. 1-0 Tigers. That was a nice grab by Aza.
  12. I'm not defending Jacko. I can certainly understand the annoyance that both you and VA feel. It would be helpful for Jacko to explain how hammy injuries work and what the likely prognoses are.
  13. The thread refers to his original stint on the DL I think. In any case Pedroia is most likely done for the year at least as far as being productive. Hammys are a giant bitch. I can't see his calming down anytime soon. If he does come back it will likely be more of the same limited action with him hobbling around. This really sucks because he was having a resurgent season. Sox are going nowhere so this does not really hurt. But it sure would be nice to see him play and be effective.
  14. I just want to be able to hope that the Sox can win any game again.
  15. With the strong anti-Porcello feelings that I see from iOrtiz I had a hunch that Porcello would pitch well and that the Sox would win tonight. So I put some money down on the Sox to win. This is great. After I collect my winnings I can afford to prepay for my penis augmentation surgery.
  16. I leaped off my sofa when this happened. I think my "YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" may have woken my neighbors. f*** 'em. I really think they need to keep Hannigan for several good reasons.
  17. Tough call. From what I have seen of both, Bogey.
  18. Outstanding! I was wondering why the challenge was taking so long. Then I figured out that they must have called the NFL offices by mistake.
  19. In the glow of a WS victory Peavy became a Saint. Look at his numbers that year. I would love to have Iggy and X on the left side now.
  20. I'm just alarmed that someone who has been such a prolific hitter in the past has 1/4 the amount of doubles as our lead-off hitter. His BA and OBP are waaaaaaay down, too. Must be that "coast to coast" adjustment!
  21. That's it Hanley. More singles from our DH in waiting.
