  1. Holt!!!!!!!!1!!1
  2. Shore!!!! Holt!!!!
  3. Somebody needs to start hitting Stroman.
  4. Before the game I saw the Kelly piece where he is wired. I have seen several of these pieces this spring. The one with the four roommates, Shaw, Swihart, Betts, and Merrero was very enlightening. I know that chemistry is something that is hard to quantify and qualify, there seems to be a new chemistry on this team. A lot of it is centered around the young guys. Which I think is very cool. It's their team.
  5. The delay is the normal opening day ******** along with an unavailing of new banners on the center field wall celebrating 40 years as a team and of course that huge achievement of winning the division and the MVP award for Donaldson. Sure is taking a long time. Game time was 7:07.
  6. Or you could just enjoy watching Red Sox baseball.
  7. Stroman is the goods. Cy Kelly better show up.
  8. I still have a gut feeling that A-Roid will have another good year. Of course, it could just be the Indian food I had for dinner.
  9. He was in there I think.
  10. Just found this from WEEI. Farrell was speaking of Castillo's chances of getting AB and the writer explained why Shaw was not pinch hit for yesterday. As I suggested, Farrell may actually know something that others are not thinking about. "In a scenario where Farrell wanted to pitch hit against a lefty pitcher — which he chose not to Tuesday when Travis Shaw faced reliever Ross Detwiler because of the way Shaw had handled lefties in spring training — it would be Young who would get the first call." Right or wrong, he had his reason.
  11. Ditto. "Ditto? Ditto, you provincial putz?"
  12. He still has very good speed. And when he is not making bonehead plays in the outfield, he does seem to make all of the plays that he should make. The Sox stuck with JBJ for quite a while before pulling the plug and sending him down to Pawtucket. I think Castillo will be out there soon.
  13. Of course as I always seem to point out, Farrell may have info that fans do not have. I really doubt that he completely missed the opportunity.
  14. Or the part where Bautista slid completely by the bag without attempting to stop. He was clearly trying to take the IF out of the play. You can't do either under the new rules.
  15. Buch vs. Carrasco 6:10 PM start. I'm glad that I will be watching this game from my living room. It's going to be cold in that stadium tonight! GO SOX!!!1!!!1!!
  16. They brought him back because Tito like his leadership skills. They see him as a player coach.
  17. No doubt that he is very good. And he has already established good rapport and chemistry with Remy. Still miss Don, though.
  18. He does. But he is engaged and playing well. The 1-3 play not withstanding. And he got away with it because he lost some weight and got some of his speed back.
  19. Travis Shore with the first hit of the season.
  20. "Price, one of the most hated players in Red Sox Nation" Where did you get this idea? Based on what? His little feud with Papi? If any Sox fan has had any problem with Price, I am sure that it was overwhelmingly negated by the respect that his level of performance commands. He's one of the best pitchers in baseball. Who will bitch about him being on their team?
  21. I have not sampled fare in the North End in quite a while. However, for the most part, what I have sampled has been over rated. Particularly the pastry. I know of Italian everything that I can source in other places and be happier. Just sayin'.
  22. I shook hands with Ted when I was about 13 or so. But my most memorable Kennedy related moment was when I took a piss in the head on the PT Boat Guardian at the Coast Guard base in Woods Hole when I was a kid. That boat used to moor in Woods Hole when it was following Jackie around on the Kennedy yacht. I had such a rich childhood!
  23. My good ex-wife was from Brooklyn, although she spent he late teens in East Hampton. She told me that "New York" had the best pizza. Of course I did not want to believe this. But now I concede that she was probably right. The best pizza I had was in a small pizza shop across the street from a slot car raceway I used to go to in Southampton. I never made it to CBGBs but wish I had.
