It's kind of odd the way he falls back into his old bad habits. I agree, though. I keep him around unless a huge deal can be made. At that point anyone not named Betts can go.

Boo f***ing hoo. Papi is gone. Yaz is gone too. I got over that and I'll get over this. The Sox are loaded with great young players that have not approached their peak. With some good move this off-season by Mr. Leisure Suit, this team will remain competitive each year for the foreseeable future. GO SOX!!!1!!!

Well it certainly blows that I have to shelve my main hobby ( watching every Sox game ) until April. It's sad to see Papi crying on the mound after watching him come through so many times for my team. But I am optimistic about 2017. I agree with Jacko. This team did arrive a little ahead of schedule and the nucleus for a very good team is in place. I am not looking forward to seeing and hearing all the Farrell bashing that will come. I say he stays because he has not done a bad job and because there probably isn't a better manager available to replace his two neurons. I am hoping that Tito humiliates the Jays and that Napoli has a huge post season. Same with Miller, and even Crisp. But, the Jays are a tough match-up. I want the Guardians and Cubs in the series. And as much as it would be a cool story for the Cubs to win it all, I'd much prefer to see Tito get another ring. So blow me.

While he did choose to "walk", I don't see him as a traitor. I think he saw his relationship with his superiors as eroded and maybe untenable. If I found myself in a similar position and there was a good offer awaiting me elsewhere I would probably moved on as well.

Sure we disagree on stuff. We are all our own people. But us OG Sox fans have learned to not give up hope. It takes years of disappointment and failure to acquire this trait.
