I saw a report on FB that Hernandez is considering season ending surgery. Unfortunately the link would not load. Have any of you wonderful people heard anything about the topic? If this is so, Holt must return healthy and be productive. I think that Rutledge can do the job decently, but we need quality depth. -

I thought is was odd that the Sox moved Arroyo so soon after extending him. His contract was a bargain, too. They must have thought Pena was something really special. Legit power bats are always at a premium and the Sox thought that they were getting their eventual Papi replacement, I guess. Still, the deal was not completely bad. After all the comedic value of Pena in left field was worth something. Right?

He came around first and hit the jets. I think he saw how the ball was being fielded and his little big man ego said "f***, I got this". I don't think he was really going for two until he rounded 1st. You could see the moment he made the decision from the outfield camera on the replay. I believe that was what he was thinking.

Normally I would continue to say it's still early. Let's see where this team is at the end of May. But jeepers this team is a bag of suck now. WAY TOO MANY stupid plays and offensive failure. Unless the O's completely tank soon the Sox will be 10 games out by June 1st. This is not acceptable for a $190. mil team. I'll continue to watch for the entire season one way or another because this is my hobby. But I will up the bitch factor very soon if they don't play better. A lot better.

Oddly Kendricks kept the Sox in this one for 4 innings. Sloppy D and untimely hitting has buried this team. Farrell had only one neuron firing tonight. He should have lifted Kendricks earlier in the 5th. Gotta love that arm on Vasquez!!!!!! Lots of DRS there!
