    Meanwhile we have close to stellar defense at 3rd with the non hitting Merrero. I'm fine with him staying there until Devers is deemed ready.

    I really don't know how to answer this. First of all, most of the s*** pitchers that have played for the Sox during my 50+ years of fandom have been purged from my memory, thankfully! Next, what really constitutes the worst pitcher? A guy who pitches 60 innings one year and is gone? Or a starter that brings futility for 7-8 years? Of course there are many variants in between. Dice-K drove me f***ing nuts!!!! I offered to bash his ankles with a bat at one point. However, I thought it was kind of cool that he tried to hang on with Tito in Cleveland so I harbor far less ill will towards him now. The Sox have had their share of suck pitching over the years. Fortunately I don't remember most of them!

    Wasn't Clement really good in his first 10-12 games before fielding a combacker with his forehead? Or do I have the wrong guy?

    It probably has something to do with being so close to the bay and the abundance of scrap food to be had in the stadium. This reminds me of the one time that I sat in the left field grandstands at Fenway. It was a double header with the Brewers way back when Boomer was playing first for Milwaukee. A f***ing pigeon s*** on my head. I never sat there again! And no, it did not bring me good luck!

    Losing 4 in a row is the exact opposite of what this team needs to be doing. The Sox must find a way to win 8 of 10 or something like that. Yeah, it's still early in the season with the Sox "only" 4.5 games back. That deficit could grow to 10 games and guess what? The season would be pretty much older unless division leaders went into a dive while the Red ox went on a tear. The time to win is NOW. We all seem to be saying that this team ha plenty of talent. Hmm. Maybe so. Does this team have the heart and mental strength to put it together? I don't know about that.

    I won't even discuss Pom Pom. At least I can be efficient. This team is just flat. No spark at all. I don't know why but this does not bode well for the rest of the season. I have said that I would wait until the end of May to say anything but I have seen no improvement in this team in the last three weeks. The Sox are the definition of a .500 team.

    He had a clean 2nd inning. It could happen again. That double play is not made by any other Sox player at third.

    In real time ( oddly ) it looked like he came up and his left foot was off when the tag hit him. I did not see the replay. The umps reversed it so I think they were able to see enough to make the call. Where are all the people that were lamenting Merrero's promotion ans skeptical of his defense. Lol. The kid can flat out go get it. I don't need to be lectured about his inability at the plate. I have been watching him in Pawtucket for two years+.

    Oh he was out when the tag was applied. He has speed but that pop-up was weak. GREAT PLAY.

    Boy am I jelly. I have never been there. Everyone I know who has been there says that it is an awesome place to see a game. Have fun Kimmi.

    I find just about any criticism of Femwy is legit. They have put a s*** ton of make-up on the pig as it were but the place is cramped and uncomfortable unless you are in a luxury seat. Still, when you walk up a ramp ( I'm thinking right field bowl ) and see that huge mass of green and you just look around. Well, you know you are someplace special.
