  1. Good finish to that inning. We got lucky they didn't get one there after Hardy's triple with only one out.
  2. Pedroia is ready to go tonight. He was in uniform in the dugout at 2:48 p.m. this afternoon. I think he is excited about playing tonight.
  3. Just heard about this. The tentative plan is to start Pedroia on Tuesday as long as the thumb is okay after his rounds of BP and there are no setbacks. I hope that is true. We get Pedroia back after only a week off and then that means no more Punto starting at 2B. I just hope Pedroia does not injure his thumb worse by the way he plays. Ross may be coming back sometime next week as well. He is making a lot of progress.
  4. Ross is expected to back in June sometime. It is hard to tell when in June, but let's just hope it is sometime soon. Ellsbury's time table is early July. Crawford's is also in July. Let's just hope we get all of these guys back healthy sometime in July. That is ideal.
  5. That would have been a strike if Verlander was on the mound.
  6. Great inning. We just need Bard to keep his s*** together.
  7. Hell yeah Nava! Pods speed is awesome!
  8. At least it wasn't a double play.
  9. Please get at least a sac fly Punto.
  10. I think Fielder's average is pretty damn close to his weight.
  11. Two runners in scoring position now for Cabrera. Don't walk Cabrera and let Prince Fat Ass hit with the bases loaded.
  12. Too bad we can't have a designated hitter for Punto and let Bard hit. He probably would actually do better at the plate than Punto.
  13. The plus for Podsednik is his speed.
  14. Youkilis, Gonzalez, Ortiz take note of the hustle by Mike Aviles.
  15. Gonzalez, Ortiz, and Youkilis need to learn to sprint down the god damn first base line. I am tired of seeing them jog. I know there is no way in hell they are that slow. Give a little effort. Gonzalez should have beat that throw out last inning.
  16. They just said Pedroia is listed day-to-day "for the moment" on NESN. Let's just hope that is all it is.
  17. I wish that was the case, but it does not say for the month, it says for a month. They have confirmed that he underwent and MRI and that they are waiting on the results. They have not confirmed that he is going to miss a month. That is just what Karl Ravech is saying. I do not know how credible his sources are. Nothing is official by any means. I just hope it is not a month.
  18. Karl Ravech from ESPN is the one saying this. Here is the actual tweet: I do not know who he is hearing this from. I am assuming that he has some sort of inside connections, but then again nothing is official until they actually get the results back from the MRI. I hope it is not a month.
  19. I really hope Pedroia's injury is not too serious. I cannot watch Punto play f***ing 2B every night. Karl Ravech (sp?) is saying that he heard Pedroia is likely to miss a month via twitter. Nothing is official. They are still waiting on the results.
  20. What is your definition of the word "suck?" His 2008 year when he went 18-3 with a 2.90 ERA is defined as "sucking?" He had a whole season where he was a solid starter. I don't think you can define that as a year that he "sucked" and a whole year is more than a "brief moment." Past 2008 he has sucked and has been injury prone, so I think that part of what you are saying is true. He was not that great in 2007, but he did get us two wins in the 2007 postseason and one of those wins came in the World Series. Dice-K is being mentioned in this thread because he is a depth option as a starter. He has sucked this year in all of his rehab starts, except his last one. He actually had a solid outing giving up no runs in five innings. That is after he came off of the DL for the second time. I am not saying that we can be optimistic about Dice-K, but we can definitely keep an eye on him as he continues his rehab assignment in Pawtucket. If one of our current starters gets hurt or completely starts to suck, then it is always nice to have a depth option like Dice-K, especially if he is pitching solid in the minors. We can be optimistic about having him as a depth option.
