    I swear to god that I'm going to destroy whoever idea it was to put a limit on the number of starts. That's going to cost me points all season.

    I think that Garnett's suspension is justified, however I think that Richardson should have been suspended as well. I definitely think that Garnett's supsension was more justified than past playoff suspensions (ie Diaw and Stoudemire circa 2007)

    The Rays are a bad example because they have had a LOT of high picks (many in the top 5) which largely effects how good the player is. There are many problems with the Red Sox that you can rip on, but you're claims about the Sox system are largely unfounded.

    I never said it wasn't. The rule shouldn't have existed, and should be eliminated, even if it did help my team.

    I believe that that's a different scenario with a clearly violated rule. That scenario was more black and white than this one.

    Lars Anderson is only 22 and hasn't played above AA and was injured last year. I'd wait awhile longer before saying that he "fizzled out". And the farm system certainly isn't bare as we still have an average to above average farm system. I forget the exact rankings but we were somewhere in the 11-14 range. Certainly not bare.

    Plus there are some FA acquisitions that looked good at the time but did not work out. Hindsight is a b****, so signings like Beltre, Cameron, Scutaro, Penny, Smoltz etc might all look bad now, but in order to fairly evaluate Theo's performance, we'd have to go back to what the deal was at the time it was made.

    And if there is anything worth smiling about, Varitek was close to his 4th HR of the season and had a nice opposite field single. Both are from his weaker left side.

    What I meant was, what is the multiplier for money bet down on the Sox? IE if I put $1 on the Sox, what would be the return?

    I have no clue, I'm pretty sure I saw See Red's post in the Celtics thread where it belonged, and it's not like this thread was waiting for him since the last post in this thread was well before he even joined.

    That's also flawed because you're assuming that Bay would have been with us for the same amount of money that he is currently being paid in NY. In addition to what Dipre said.
