  1. I never said that Miller/Morgan were good, I just said that they were better than Buck/McCarver, so I agree with what you said. I just wonder why we can't get better announcers for games that you'd think many people are watching. Sometimes I watch their games on mute because it's just easier.
  2. Better than Buck/McCarver
  3. I agree, although I think it was the only red card thus far that wasn't justified.
  4. Maybe a clear sign of the end of the steriod era.
  5. Good luck this coming week Suns.
  6. What kind of mound problems?
  7. Besides, you'd think that 7 innings and 4 ER would be a decent start for a boston pitcher considering our offense, and besides Wake's one bad inning, he was really good.
  8. Yahoo had the game on delay like 3-4 times, did anything happen?
  9. Maybe when we have enough talented and healthy pitchers, we can let Wakefield retire.
  10. God damn it, I had Ibanez on my bench.
  11. They give yellow cards to some clear floppers, especially when in the penalty box.
  12. Diony, you lucky bastard. You're facing Gom when he's having one of his worst weeks ever.
  13. There's more to life than money. And for the record, the past few posts have only elucidated a microcosm of the ancillary thought processes and decisions undertaken behind proper fantasy strategy/management.
  14. Offer him a top 5 bat...haha
  15. And it's a draw. Wow, didn't see that coming. In any event, both teams are likely to advance to the next round seeing as they are against Algeria and Slovenia, but anything can happen.
  16. I'd also like to point out that my answer also is contingent on the league NOT being a keeper league. If this were a keeper league, then I would not trade Strasburg for Kinsler. Edit: And if you traded him right now, you'd still have him for his start vs. the Guardians
  17. I'd disagree, as USA is not only lucky to be tied 1-1 (instead of 1-0), but USA is even luckier not to be down 2-0. England has controlled a lot of the flow and possession of the game, and the US hasn't looked close or threatening in their scoring chances. Hell, their goal should have been scored an E1 rather than a "goal", if there were official scoring in football.
  18. I have Chase Utley, so the answer is an obvious no. However, if I had a need at 2B and reasonable depth at pitching, then I would DEFINITELY do that trade. I will say though that I would prefer to have a better offense than better pitching, as pitching can be mitigated through managing (ie stream starts) rather than offense which is more based on luck, drafting skills, and more luck. So I'd rather have Ian Kinsler at 2B (which is a prime position due to the paucity of great offensive players) than Strasburg as a SP, especially due to the amount of decent/good SP out there. I would definitely trade Strasburg for Kinsler if I needed a 2B. But that's based on my opinion on respective values as well as my model for fantasy team management. People who don't stream start are less likely to go for that deal.
  19. USA ties it in the 40th minute on what will potentially be the softest goal ever given up/scored in the World Cup. It's tied 1-1 at the half. England has looked better throughout, but the US have had their chances and even though the goal shouldn't have been scored, it's tied at the half. Both teams have a yellow card and only England has used a substitution.
  20. Not even 4 minutes in and it's 1-0 England.
  21. While I usually have my conflicts with Diony in fantasy baseball, this time, I agree with him over 26 and Rhet. On one hand, I do think that 26's offers are insulting, and that if this were a real business negotiation, I would block 26 from further negotiations since it would be clear that he has no intentions of making a serious trade. 26, I think you're a good poster and a decent fantasy manager, but I disagree with your method of trade negotiations. There's winning a trade and ripping off another person, and despite what your intentions are, when you send an extremely lopsided trade it makes some people not want to trade with you at all, rather than get people engaged in deals with you. And Rhet, when you said that you wanted a top 5 bat for Strasburg, I wanted to tell you to fornicate yourself with a tire iron. I wouldn't give you a top 5 bat for Strasburg EVEN IF you did suck my balls. Hell, I wouldn't trade Tulowitzki for Strasburg, and I don't even have Tulowitzki. That means that I wouldn't take Tulowitzki from Diony and give it to you for Strasburg, where I'd lose nothing and gain Strasburg, just because you'd be going from Strasburg to Tulowitzki. If this were a Keeper league, then the trade would maybe make some sense, but Strasburg is just starting to pitch now and will probably be on an innings limit. In addition, if I face you again, it would only be one more time, and odds are, I'd only have to go against one Strasburg start. Good luck finding someone dumb enough to do that trade with you. I think you'd be lucky if you got a top 5 ROUND pick, let alone a top 5 bat overall.
  22. I wouldn't put much weight into that. Nash is too classy of a guy to say "F*** Rondo, I'm clearly better" I'd wait a few years before saying that Rondo is better than Nash. If Rondo can continue what he's done this year for a few years, then I'll give him the nod over Nash.
  23. I'm not even sure that Rondo is 3rd, but I'd have to think about that for awhile just to make sure that I covered all of the bases.
  24. Neither does mine, seeing as my only Red Sox player on my fantasy team isn't in the lineup tonight. M*****f*****.
