  1. I'm not sure if there is a college baseball thread, so if there is one, this can be moved there. Anyway, is anyone watching the UCLA/Florida game? The UCLA pitcher (Trevor Bauer) is pretty good, and it seems like his pitching motion is similar to Tim Lincecum's. I just wanted to know if anyone else saw a resemblance in pitching motion's as well. It isn't identical, but it has similar torque and explosiveness.
  2. I can't believe that that's only Dustin Pedroia's first ever walk off hit. I'd assume that a guy with his swagger would have done it plenty of times by now.
  3. Over/Under on .5 Gold Gloves in the Red Sox OF?
  4. What the heck, I'll give it a go.
  5. Do we have to manage the team at all, or is it solely a draft?
  6. While it wasn't pretty, I think we'll all take Doubront's outing the way it was. Who'd have thought that we'd still be winning games with all of these "rejects" in our lineup and bullpen
  7. Didn't Gom get to over 5,000 posts before being banned again?
  8. Drew would help both of my leagues if he wasn't on my bench. God damn it.
  9. I think that's more due to stupid people voting rather than the individual merits of those players.
  10. Except for weathermen.
  11. I think that Keeper is right, he deserves to be boo'ed and cheered.
  12. Once again, we help you guys out. A 0-0 draw with Algeria gives the US a pretty good chance to move onto the next round.
  13. No more green background mojo?
  14. England and Algeria are scoreless at the half. The best thing that could happen for the US team is a 0-0 draw.
  15. Michael Bradley (coach's son). He was a trail runner and it was a garbage-cleanup (rebound) goal, but he did well not to shoot it over the crossbar since it was bouncing when he shot it.
  16. It was from a free kick, it was a good cross and there was a lot of wrestling when the ball was in the air, and 3 US players were free on the back side and one of them knocked in the easy goal. I'm not sure if one was called offsides, OR, if a foul was called on the play. In any event, nobody was offsides (thanks to replay) and not only was the US not guilty of a foul, but a Slovenian player basically bearhugged Bradley for the entire play. It either should have been the goal, OR a penalty kick to the US.
  17. Yeah, there were at least 2 bogus calls within that one decision.
  18. And USA scores another goal, but it's disallowed. Still tied.
  19. And within a minute, the son of the US coach scores to tie it at 2. It still makes a long shot for making it to the next round, but getting a point out of this match helps.
  20. If the US are going to pull a win out of their a**, then I suggest they stand up.
  21. Yeah, down 2-0 to Slovenia at the half, Donovan scored to start the 2nd half, but it's 2-1 Slovenia at the 70th minute. If the USA doesn't at least tie it, then they are pretty much guaranteed not to make it to the next round.
  22. If there is a good side to this, I think it may bolster the Kobe vs. LeBron argument. As one of the Kobe supporters, I doubt that LeBron would be able to do what Kobe does. That's why everyone says "Kobe" when crumpling up a piece of paper and attempting a shot in the garbage.
