  1. We are, but Kris Jenkins has had ACL tears in BOTH knees over the past 2 years and has played very little because of it. That, combining with his age, looks really bad for the future. Granted, I didn't deduct much because he was one of your bench players, but it might hurt you in a really close matchup. Again, this is all my opinion, it's not that I wrote the book on redrafts or redraft voting and that everyone HAS to think the same way I do. This was my thought process and how I decided things. I don't want anyone to think that I think I'm the best at this or that I'm the only one that knows what he's talking about.
  2. We weren't supposed to put our own teams in the power rankings. Meaning that with 15 teams, ones power rankings would be ranking the OTHER 14 teams. Meaning that 13th would be 2nd to last.
  3. I had you 2nd to last, at 13th, but in all fairness I would have had you at 12th if Kilo didn't take over MSU's team.
  4. We black folk gotta look out for one another.
  5. Yankshater will be the first to tell you that this isn't a fantasy draft. Read the title of the thread. If this were a solely fantasy draft, then defense wouldn't count and Yankees228 would plummet in the standings. (No offense Y228, it's just that you have a team built around a great defense, and in a conventional fantasy draft that wouldn't help you Again, everything will be explained to you in the matchup thread. There are too many coinciding things for this to be a coincidence, and just because things didn't go your way doesn't mean that you got screwed. For example, I don't think that anybody got screwed in the NBA redraft, and I think that there was only 1 case of someone really getting screwed in the MLB redraft, which granted I'm biased because I thought it was me.
  6. It's only getting shafted if you didn't have it coming. For the record, I didn't put you last, but there had to be a reason why a lot of people did. It'll probably be explained to you in your first round matchup. There's a reason though why you were near the bottom of the mlb power rankings and why you're at the bottom here, and it has something to do with drafting locker room cancers and a lot of Cleveland Browns players.
  7. I think that we'd be f***** ourselves by putting Youkilis in LF, even if it is to retain Beltre. I'd give Youkilis credit for being a team player and being willing to move around, but at this point I think we should let Beltre go for the draft picks. I'd have said differently if we didn't pick up Ortiz's option or if we didn't trade for Gonzalez.
  8. I definitely think that we should explain why we'd win each matchup BEFORE anyone is allowed to vote. That way, the team owners won't be able to vote in each matchup, but they can explain their thought process and point out things that some other people won't notice. And it gives both team owners time to defend themselves before the people vote. For example, let's say Kilo puts an 8 seed vs. a 9 seed. The owners of those 2 teams would be the first ones to post in the thread and explain their scheme, and why they think they'll win, and THEN people can vote. In addition, we should figure out how many votes we'd need to move on.
  9. I am a little worried about the PTBNL, but as long as it isn't a high profile guy (which it's almost certain not to be Vitek, Ranaudo, or Brentz) then I'm happy. Granted, we ALL know that this is not going to be the only move of the Sox offseason, so we should all sit tight, get your popcorn ready, and in my case, try to finish off this 30 rack in one day. Good thing I still have a few cigars left over from University.
  10. All we need is for news to come out that we signed Werth for an undermarket value and that we traded nameless prospects for a quality bullpen arm and most of us would set new records for number of times masturbating in a single day. Well, except Gom who's current record cannot be broken.
  11. For anyone else hasn't busted a nut yet, here's a hitting chart for Adrian Gonzalez per MLB ballpark. You can play with it (giggity) to see what he's done in each ballpark. Look at his HR, XBH, and Fly Out locations, and then compare that to Fenway's dimensions. Not to mention compare it to the potential of moving in the right field fences about 9 feet for the bullpens. I guess I need a sperm guard for my computer. http://mlb.mlb.com/stats/individual_player_hitting_chart.jsp?c_id=sd&playerID=408236&statType=1
  12. Fuentes is Puerto Rican, so if he was to fit with a particular fan base, he'd be shipped to the Yankees.
  13. I agree, although I'm sure that WhiskeyBreath will be on talkpats and I'd bet that Jbay will also be online by tomorrow, so if it's going to start Monday (which I think should be the plan) we can get their rankings in. And since they are frequent contributors (don't miss picks and they've done all 3 redrafts) I think that we should try to get their rankings as well, especially if there are any tiebreakers.
  14. I'm just glad that I have something to beat off to tonight. I was getting sick of watching that Erin Andrews naked video for the millionth time.
  15. I guess it's a good thing that I got Casey Kelly's autograph when I met him over the summer working for the New Britain Rock Cats.
  16. If Agon does get traded to the Yankees, does anyone else want to go Jersey nightclubs with a tireiron and make those Guido Yankee fan bastards extinct? I'm looking at you Divinity.
  17. Does anyone want to make a wager that Agon will end up on the Yankees?
  18. I would love to get one of those other Padres relievers, but obviously the focus is AGon. Plus I'd rather include less prospects in the deal than to include more prospects and get SD relievers (other than Bell)
  19. I remember that I was at a Celtics/Knicks game with one of my roomates (who is a Knicks fan) and we both started a Scal-a-brin-e chant and the crowd ran with it. We were both laughing because he looked like the one player that should be a Celtic, and how overrated he is relative to his playing ability.
  20. The Cavs couldn't even beat the Spurs, so what makes you think they could beat the Lakers?
