  1. There's plenty of room left.
  2. In other news, Cliff Lee will reveal his decision on December 24th 11:59pm in an attempt to upstage Christmas.
  3. Although we should.
  4. I bet you have a sick pseudo NY accent too. I have a friend from Pittsfield who sounds like he belongs on Jersey Shore.
  5. I didn't think that it was possible to be a Giants/Red Sox fan (or a Yankees/Patriots fan) and NOT be from Connecticut. I figured that CT was the only area where you'd see that and not assume that the sports fan was confused.
  6. In all fairness, as long as everyone uses the SAME salary website, then their shouldn't be a problem with people going over. In the NBA draft I think we had 2/12 teams go over, and one team only went over because he was going to trade another player to a different team to get under the salary cap. I just think that a salary cap makes it less boring, especially because we did a lengthy baseball redraft not too long ago (during the summer). I mean I'm ok with doing one without a cap, but does that mean that we'd have to do a few years in the future to introduce some sort of variable?
  7. I think that the waters are calm now. I'm personally ok with Suns being in the redraft as long as he puts a serious effort into it and doesn't flip out if his team is near the bottom. I will also give him credit because while he isn't as quick as I am, he is generally very good at making his picks in a timely fashion. I think yesterday exploded because of random things that happened to Suns, combined with what looked like people ganging up on him. I think things are better at this point and that we can move on. Just take a deep breath and not take it personally. (Except in the hot celebrity draft because then it's ALL personal)
  8. Unless the players he DL'ed were on the opposing team. I bet Ellsbury is s******* himself with the idea of Beltre being next to him in the OF. He's probably asking the FO to trade him.
  9. Who would you rather have?
  10. With Kelly, Rizzo, and Fuentes gone, do we have the prospects to trade for Upton? I know that Arizona wants major league talent, so we'd probably have to give up Ellsbury, Bard and more.
  11. I voted for Magglio Ordonez, but I'd predict that we'd get Willingham.
  12. I wouldn't mind overpaying for Ordonez. Considering his age, it's not like he'd be asking for a 5-7 year contract. Over paying for him isn't great, but it'd be a short term loss. I think he has a lot to contribute, and he won't cost prospects or draft picks. He seems like the best option, although I don't see him ending up in Boston. If I had to predict who we end up with, I'm guessing Willingham.
  13. If Ordonez wants a 2 year deal, I think the Sox should jump on it. He is .967 OPS career against lefties, and a .956 OPS vs. lefties over the past 3 years. He might not have the most power left in the tank, but he is a great all around hitter that can drive runners in, get on base, and keep the lineup moving.
  14. Of the options, I'd be the most excited about seeing Beltran in a Sox uniform, but depending on how much it costs and the likelihood of the team needs, I still see Willingham as being the best fit. I wouldn't mind seeing Beltran on the Sox for the near future if he can play anything like he did the past few years, especially since we'll be done with Cameron and Drew's contracts after next year.
  15. I like Josh Willingham as an option, as long as he doesn't cost much (via trade) and as long as he doesn't have to play too much, I think he'd be fine.
  16. I have no clue. I don't make the rules.
  17. I'm not sure if I agree with Kilo exactly, but I think that Kilo is partially right. In my opinion, WhiskeyBreath doesn't have the best offense or the best defense. However, I think he has a better defense than the team that has the best offense, and that he has a better offense than the team with the best defense, so combined he has one of the better teams in the league, along with yours, mine, and another 1-2.
  18. Just go and relax dude. There's no need to bring all of that stuff here. Just calm down and relax and come back here later.
  19. Dude, Suns, you're acting like a child. Seriously, grow up and stop whining.
  20. Kilo only takes a while on the weekends, and he's verbally said that we could skip him on the weekends. In any case, this is a baseball site, so it should be easier to find people who are interested in a baseball team building exercise than it would be for a football redraft. I'd also prefer an even amount of teams to make the playoff seeding easier. Maybe 16 teams to do a 16 to 8 to 4 to 2 to 1 playoff format. If we can find 16 people interested then I say we do it. If not we could do 14 with byes or something like that.
  21. We had 15 teams for the NFL league, and Dipre can take your spot.
  22. I'm not sure about the minor leaguers. It may be a cool addition, but I doubt that we could really vote on that effectively.
  23. Suns, relax, don't turn this into a popularity contest. You're both liked by some and disliked by some, as am I, as are most people here. This fighting is stupid and unnecessary.
