  1. I think that if we started frying those bastards left and right that the point will be made REAL quick.
  2. Will Gom be invited to be in the league again?
  3. Right, a lot of them get fired all together. At least Cabrera would still have his job (and his oversized paycheck) when he returns.
  4. Didn't he also say that he was going to stop drinking last year at Spring Training? I thought that he'd have an easier chance of staying out of the buffet line, but it looks like he was more dependent on alcohol than he was Hometown Buffet.
  5. I don't know Dipre, I think they call your point the "Mel Gibson Defense" whereby everything is excused because he's an alcoholic. You should watch the "Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy" episode of South Park and it'll make a good point. It just seems like you're playing "offensive" and "defensive" at the same time.
  6. For the record, I was assuming (incorrectly I guess) that Venezuela was more like Brazil than say, like Puerto Rico or the DR.
  7. I guess that he learned that he wasn't famous enough to get away with it. If this was Venezuela he might have had a shot at bribing the police, but not in the good ole US of A.
  8. If Beyonce taught me anything, it's that if you like it, you should put a ring on it. Lock him up!
  9. I'm not going to complain, I love it when the Lakers lose.
  10. True, but I don't think anyone said it was one OR the other. I doubt that anyone would take Holliday OVER Pujols, but if signing Holliday can help convince Pujols to stay, then I think it's a move that you have to make. The worst thing St. Louis can do is make it appear that they aren't trying to surround him with ample talent to win. (A la the Cavaliers)
  11. He'll go to whatever team Mark Cuban gets his hands on.
  12. My list of potentials.... 1. Cubs 2. Mets (if Trump buys share of team) 3. Nationals 4. Cards (if they don't sign him prior to Nov 15) 5. Yankees (if they miss the playoffs)
  13. Denver beat Dallas though, and that is most certainly good enough for me.
  14. I'm just happy that the Spurs won a game after they lost to the damn 76ers.
  15. He made that gesture right in front of Spike Lee once, which I believe was the incident Emmz referenced and was the subject of a 30 for 30 movie on ESPN.
  16. While you're at it, Bo Burnham has a song called "Ironic" as well, which you might want to rip on too. Just in case.
  17. Speaking of which YOTN, did you ever see that Ed Byrne video I sent you? He rips on Alanis Morrisette for her song "Ironic", I think you'd enjoy it.
  18. I think it's kind of ironic that everyone else put Lester first.
  19. I'd imagine that Pujols and Mauer are more prone to intentional walks than the others. Keppinger might have been the only other one that I might have eventually thought of, and even then, that's only because of playing fantasy baseball. In addition, Juan Pierre has 1 more walk than strikeout, and has had more K's than BB's 5 of the past 6 years (equal numbers in 2009). Ojeda is also only +4 and Ruiz is only +5. I'm not attacking your research or anything Dipre, I'm just showing how uncommon this stat is.
  20. THERE WE GO RAY RAY!!
  21. I hope that he gets it soon so that I can go back to watching Futurama. Also, whenever Ray Allen shoots a 3 pointer the crowd cheers as if Brian Scalabrine is shooting it.
  22. How many more does he need?
  23. I've been thinking about this for a while, and here are my rankings. 1. Kevin Youkilis 2. Dustin Pedroia 3. Adrian Gonzalez 4. Jon Lester 5. Clay Buchholz 6. Carl Crawford 7. David Ortiz 8. Josh Beckett 9. Dan Bard 10. Jacoby Ellsbury 11. John Lackey 12. JD Drew 13. Jonathan Papelbon 14. Bobby Jenks 15. Jed Lowrie 16. Dan Wheeler 17. Daisuke Matsuzaka 18. Marco Scutaro 19. Jarrod Saltalamacchia 20. Mike Cameron 21. Felix Doubront 22. Darnell McDonald 23. Jason Varitek 24. Tim Wakefield 25. Scott Atchison
  24. Chipper Jones and Todd Helton are the only 2 that come to my mind. I'm sure if I research it I can find a few more.
  25. I was thinking that when this is done, that we should do a Talksox power rankings, basically taking these "ballots" and compiling them (which I don't mind doing) to see what's the average rankings of the group. It depends on how many people make lists though. I'll have mine in the near future.
